It’s definitely strange.
And it gets really annoying when they screw up the translation, so that the conversations have a complete different meaning than in the original.

yeaahhh its true!! for example in the first epidode of the first season... when sucre say to michael "hey fish welcome to prisneyland!" or something like this.... well in italy they don't translate this... they manipulate the sentence...without the same effect of the original phrase!!

Yeah they always change these phrases that are the best...

the most irritating phrase change is McDreamy on Greys Anatomy but...arghhhh

That's why I watch my favorite shows only in the original and don't bother with the TV version here. I watch the first two eps, just to see which voice they've chosen for the different characters. After that I turn the TV on, just to help the ratings, but don't really pay close attention to it.

Not that there's any chance with PB here right now, since it's still not on TV.

I hope they choose a good one, when the show finally makes it over here.
I have no clue, they translate everything over here. The one or other movie you can also see in the original in the cinema, but not all of them.

I'm personally not so fond of subtitles I have to say. Even though I understand what the characters are saying, I watch the text and get totally distracted from the movie. I prefer just watching the movie in the original.
