David Wallace breaks the bad news that not everyone will get a raise this year. Dwight reaches his breaking point with Jim and looks to the rest of the office for allies. Pam would like cash instead of wedding gifts. (NBC)

I think it will be an interesting storyline as well. We've already seen Jim struggle a bit in the past with being in charge so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Should have just divided it equally among everyone. I think any amount of extra money should be appreciated so why do it any other way?

I laughed a few times during this ep but it wasn't spectacular for me. Though, with what we know of Jim's management past, I was almost cringing with nervousness about his first big decision.

The Jimothy part cracked me up because my mom taught two brothers in consecutive years. They went by Jim and Tim Gray. But their full names were Timotheus and Jimothy. Parents can be so weird.

I think my favorite moment was Pam reading Kevin's check. "Mrs. Pam Halpert! It's the first time I've seen it in writing." She got a little choked up and was just so proud and cute. And Kevin's memo? Come on! That was awesome!

Really looking forward to next week. Still spoiler free. Even turned off the tv when the promo came on. Wonder what I'm going to wear...

people seem down on this ep but i rather liked it...i missed a few moments though
loved the Jim/Michael stuff
the multiple talking head and Creed's line
Mrs Pam Halpert
Ryan/Kelly mention
Mancrush is alive
and both Ryan/Pam scenes

i agree with dividing it up equally Sara...

Not the best episode ever. And Jim was making me a little mad though I thought the clashing with him and Michael and the storyline itself was interesting.

Did love the Mancrush bit and Kelly mentioning Ryan and the Ryan/Pam stuff.

The Mrs. Pam Halpert thing was adorable!

Last Week's episode was a lot better, the meeting. But tonight's episode wasnt too bad. But I can't see in real life a manager announcing to the staff that some people will get raises and some won't. That a was a ODD management decision by Jim.

Thought the opening was really strong.

Liked the latter parts with Michael/Jim, and the Jimothy

Episode was good, not great. It had moments but not in a super great way.

Poor Dwight, I knew that he'd do whatever it takes to detronize Jim.

Michael/Jim was great. And I like how serious Jim is about his new position, he really is trying to make it work, but he has to know that he does not have ordinary co-workers.

Michael and his Ryan love, finally! I missed that.

And where was my Andy. Too little of him for my taste.

Anyway good episode which prepared us for next week awesomeness.

Aw, I'm a little sad you guys didn't like it more. I laughed quite a bit, so that's good enough for me!

No JAM and no Andy was a bummer, but that's okay for one episode for me. Next week looks amazing, they are showing too much in the promos!

Pretty Good ep.

The Michael/Jim interaction was nice. Even if they didn't find a solution to the problem at least they are okay with each other.

Dwight is EVIL! and i kinda love it.

Great episode.

I love Jim in his new role with DM. And I love how off-putting it made Michael to share the job with him.

The whole situation was just... it felt like a no-win. I love blase Jim handled it by just offering the raises to the sales division. And the reaction he got.

I loved the uproar it caught, like Meredith "I have to buy shoes for my son"

And Jim calling them all intelligent. And Oscar defining the context of the that statement.

I thought it was funny how there second method backfired too.

And Pam pointing out the old picture with no beans.

Jim's line at the end about Michael being on his side, and Pam...well, I'm not sure.

Hilarious.

Pam trying to get money from everyone was amusing. Hah at Phyllis asking if she added a bird house to the registry.

And the scam with Ryan at the end.

Oh Pam!

I loved the final moment with Jim/Michael sitting in his office drinking Gin from "World's Best Boss" mugs!

Awesome.

The wedding next week!
