| I took my dvds and portable dvd player with me to Panera today for something to do while my mom was at the doctor. It's always a lengthy wait. I watched all of the commentaries and all of the other extra stuff on the last disc. The bloopers are amazing. It's very hard to watch them and contain laughter in a public place. Can't wait to watch them at home so I can really laugh. __________________ | |||

| I generally watch the entire season with deleted scenes after each episode. Then watch all the commentaries. Then watch all the extras and save the bloopers for very last. I didn't do so well this time. I did all the commentaries then all of the extras instead of rewatching episodes and deleted scenes. All of the commentaries are great. Aside from the food dudes, I really enjoyed the Stephen Merchant/Paul/Mindy stuff on Customer Survey. They compare a lot to how shows are shot in the UK. Also, the Ken/Paul/Jen one is great on Company Picnic. I always love Jen Celotta commentary. __________________ | |||

| Yeah, same here. Commentaries are usually last. Haven't received them yet. Not supposed to until tomorrow. And then I can watch them Friday-on. ![]() __________________ let the rain keep falling down | |||

| Hope you get the DVDs tomorrow, Ken! Sucks you've been waiting. Just wanted to say that I watched the Paley interview and I loved it! I laughed a lot, especially at things Mike and Mindy would say. Mike and Greg pretty much dominated, but Paul and Mindy were also great! I missed B.J. especially during the cell phone bit and when they said he came up with TWSS.Can't wait to watch the other features and everything. ![]() __________________

| Oh ok. I got to watch the other panel on disc 5. I really enjoyed it. I always enjoy listening to the extra people like Randall and Dave. And Jen. Maybe she'll give us an idea of the bonus disc when she comes around. I don't think many other people bought that copy. __________________ | |||

| Oh I didn't realize you had gotten it too. I'm totally up for all input. I've watched the gag reel so many times already. I hope I don't wear it out. __________________ | |||

| No bonus disc for me. I got them from Amazon. And I'm kinda mad. s4 came in like the worst condition. Looks like I've had it for a while. A bit worn out. But the discs work and I got on the cheap, so I can't complain too much."Weight Loss" was alot funnier than I ever gave it credit for. Like, I was on the verge of tears, from laughing so much. And that JAM proposal, in the rain. And OMG, weird cameos... Rich Sommner as Pam's college friend. And Hoyt's mother as Renee, the secretary! So wild.I miss Holly watching the old episodes. Especially with Michael. She's too awesome. __________________ let the rain keep falling down | |||

| I haven't watched anything else yet. I need to check out that gag reel!!Sara, I meant the bonus disk. Sorry about that! It was about 45 minutes long and it was with most of the writers. Most notably B.J. wasn't there...and Jen showed up late as they were filming a TH or something like that. Mike Schur and Greg Daniels dominated the conversation, I would say, but Mindy and Paul also contributed a lot. The things that stuck out the most for me were: Tanster doing a poll of how many people have iPhones or blackberries (which is everyone!) and then asking for the gang to point to who is on their phone the most. Everyone pointed at Mindy and she said it was only because B.J. wasn't there. Mindy saying that it is sometimes disappointing when people only obsess about Jim and Pam as she thinks of the show as being more the Michael and Dwight comedy series as opposed to the Jim and Pam love story. She said something about how she wishes people would look at all the comedy aspects and how people ripped The Injury after it first premiered as it followed Booze Cruise and had no romance, lol. She said that now it's regarded as one of the best (insert everyone's laughter), but at the time it was hated. Mindy cursed a few times and the rest of the writers gang called her out on it and her reply was "I'm rock and roll, man." It was my favorite part. ![]() Mike was laughing at Paul's school of acting and that his rules are remember the last word before your line and make sure your water bottle isn't visible. There was one more, but I can't remember. Mindy brought up how when Paul was directing he had one line in the episode and he missed it. She also made some joke that she always hopes he'll pull it together and do okay in the scenes and then Paul retaliated! He said how he was talking to an editor? (can't remember who) and the guy said that Mindy didn't give one usable take out of everything they took. I don't remember who, but they were talking about how (Greg, probably) Mindy is always covering her mouth and that's not a Kelly thing, but a Mindy thing.Mike Schur talked about Greg's one scene on the show and how it was with Rainn and Steve and how they love to improvise. And he was laughing that you can see the sweat on Greg's forehead as Steve starts improvising with Rainn circling nearby. Greg also started talking about it and they mentioned how Steve asked what he did for a living and Greg replied he's a salesman and then Steve asked what kind of salesman to which he replied yarn. Mindy also talked about how she loves how someone like Mike can be Mose as he's really intelligent (apparently he went to Harvard), etc. Someone asked how they decide who gets to write the episode and there were varying answers. One said that they try to play it to the writer's strengths (Greg probably) and Paul said how it also depends on the enthusiasm of the writer for a particular storyline. For instance, Mindy is really against having an Earth Day episode and he said that there is probably someone that has a great idea and is excited about it. She replied "who?" in disbelief which was pretty funny. There was also a joke how the season 4 Christmas episode was halted due to the strike and how it was supposed to be Justin Spitzer's one (I think it was him...). Mike and Greg started joking that his horrible script started the strike and how Greg wanted to maintain their friendship, but not do the episode. ![]() There's more, but those are the ones that I can name at the moment. __________________
