Another thing I noticed is that Jim said he didn't want to prank Dwight anymore but later on he pranked him by himself. He was just scared to fall back into Pam but in the end he coudn't resist.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I was upset in the beginning of the episode because he told Pam that, and then he did it on his own. I was really happy when he decided to pull the prank with Pam. Goes to show that he just can't stay away.
