|  Welcome to the 1st Melora Hardin Appreciation Thread!  Melora Hardin portrays Jan Levinson, Dunder Mifflin's rigid corporate boss in NBC's "The Office." Jan often finds herself having to fend off Michael Scott's (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) inappropriate romantic advances, while at the same time struggling to assert her authority as his supervisor. Hardin has been acting, singing and dancing since childhood. Her feature film credits include the recently released "Thank You for Smoking," "The Hot Chick," "Absolute Power," opposite Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman and "Soul Man.". She can also be seen in the upcoming horror film "Hellaburger," and will make her directorial debut with the independent film "You," out this summer. Additionally, Harding has appeared in television shows such as "Monk," as Monk's (Tony Shalhoub) dead wife, the series "Dirty Dancing," and "Cover Me."
