Yeah, Jan was made to be really crazy this season, especially in Dinner Party (though her dancing to Hunter's music cracks me up just thinking about it

), but I really think this calmer Jan is something that will be carried into the new season. She had to go through a lot of changes and while she's strong, it's a lot for anyone to have to deal with.

I'm sure she'll be crazy during labor, though.

I agree. Her whole life was turned upside down, and she kind of lost it.

And I guess if she was pregnant back in the Dinner Party timeframe the hormones made her even crazier.

She had to have been pregnant then so it explains alot.

I'm really hoping since she's one of my favorites and I feel they really tore her down after getting fired much like they've done with Ryan once he got hired in the new position.

I agree, they did all kinds of crazy things after Jan got fired and Ryan got hired. Two of our favorites, so I hope for good things for them next season. It bothers me how they made such a mess with both characters, seems like they were going for laughs and brought them down to do it.

I agree about the laughs thing which makes me sad. Like I said, Jan always had her quirks and Ryan always had his flaws, but they just seemed to take them over the top in a way that was a bit out of character. Though to be fair Jan went through alot with getting fired and not having anyone, etc. and getting a new position and all the pressure it brings can definitely change a person, I just felt they took it to the extreme in both cases.

It is disappointing, I don't like when characters are changed to serve that purpose. I think they took it to the extreme with both of them.

Jan did go through major life changing things, but it got too wacky. Same with Ryan, his life changed a lot but they took him so far down and made him fail horribly to be funny. And it didn't even work, either people started hating them or feel like we do.
