I finished the rough draft, but it will need extensive reworking before it's readable.

I'm quite pleased with my progress though.

Isn't anyone else writing YA fic?

Ooh, that's such a Jahammer staple. I'm thinking of revisiting Curse the Darkness soon actually; Lauren is such an amazing writer. It's sad that she seems to have left the fandom for good.

That's so cute. But there's plenty of slashorific opportunities in YA too

Caty - if you go to Simply Fanfic, Upon a Moonlit Night is one of the fics listed under the second update. I can't figure out the javascript pop-up window thing, so couldn't give you a direct link.

I was thinking about this and can't decide, but does anyone maybe wanna beta-read 604 for me? I don't usually go with betas (horrible habit, but I'm self-indulgent that way) but I would like to gauge someone's reaction to this episode before it goes public. I'm unsure about some of the scene sequencing so it would be nice to have a second opinion that I trust. Nothing too strenuous, just a brief read-over generally; I'm more interested in an "emotional reaction beta" rather than your typical beta job.

I guess Will and Scout...but I've always just been a fan of their friendship. I guess that could spiral off to bigger and of course better things

Let's see if I can write a Will/Scout fic. A bad one, but hey at least I am trying

It's really hard for me to think of YA 'ships other than how they are in Nicky's eps as well! (Although I'm still kinda hooked on Ryder/Grace.)

I know, mostly because Nicky is the main and only one in the YA fandom who has been updating.

I've seen the Ryder/Grace thing fly about, but never thought too much about them. I guess I need them to have slightly more screen time for me to actually for them

Sadly, Anja doesn't want to be spoiled before the official release, so she shot me down when I asked for a beta.

Speaking of Ryder/Grace, we were just talking over on the YA!Ryder thread about the old R/G fic, Experimental Grace, and how someone really ought to finish it. Apparently the authors have it all planned out, they just never got around to finishing it and they might be open for someone else to take the helm. Sounds like it could be a potential project Caty.

ETA: Oh, for anyone interested, the banner and song downloads for 604 are up now. Go here. The episode itself will be up within a week.

Seriously, between teaching (my kids' grasp on the English language is so scary...3 out of 4 of my English classes have a 60% or lower average!) and taking classes towards my Master's, I barely have time to read fic any more.

. Yeah I did but I suck at writing YA fics in English so I gave up. I'm much more good at reading them though
