Jane leaned over toward him and fell into her husband’s arms. He held her close to him as they laid back into his seat. She loved him so much, and she just wanted their marriage to work. In all honestly, she was slightly surprised that they had managed to stay together this long, considering the reasons on which they were married.

Ohhh, interesting! Now I want to know the reasons! I would also like to know a bit more of their background. My main question is: Do they have kids?

I like how these little story bits are developing. Keep it up!

I'm 4 pages into one of my original short stories, but I haven't worked on it in, like, a week and I want it done by Valentine's Day!

I think so, too. At least they love each other now, but the circumstances under which they got married... that sounds like trouble... Doesn't it?

This is fun.

Yes, they do love each other.

And the reasons... Well, that's some of the complicated stuff.

Just to let you know. This is one of the flashbacks that will be a part of the big story.

The main story takes place when this couple are grandparents... so, yes, they have kids and survive together.

As they were finishing off the kiss with some light pecks, Michael took his hands away from her neck, and they found their way down to her midsection. He felt her immediately retreat when his fingertips touched her shirt, and he decided that it would probably be best if they slowed down.

“I’m sorry,” she apologized as she situated herself back on her side of the car. “I really thought I could, but I’m not so sure anymore.”
