Lynn, I went through that phase, too, but then when I started paying more attention, I realised that guys do like me, it's just the type of guy that I always have a problem with; they're usually jerks or really nice but too old for me or...jerks

I can't wait for the school year to end.

I'm so out of it, if you know what I mean. I don't know what's "going on" in my grade, so whenever I do hear little tidbits, I am freaked the hell out.

Sometimes I'm thankful I'm not caught up in the center of the school, because I would never want to be involved in such things.

Argh it's so pretty out but just thinking about going to swim practice makes me queasy and dampens my whole day. There's just this one girl in my lane who is incorrigible! Absolutely impossible. Everyone in my lane is so frustrated with her. I actually started crying in practice once because I was so angry at her. I just--ugh. I can't even explain her and her antics.

Aw, but you shouldn't let her ruin your day, Jordyn! You love swimming and since you're not the only one upset with her, you shouldn't let her get to you

Just ignore her (I know, easier said than done!)

No, I don't love swimming--but being the perfectionist I am, I have got to do well.

I can't ignore her; I've been trying that for two months now, and she's only brought more damage to me. She makes me look bad in front of the coaches.

My swim team is extremely competitive--I mean, swimming is my life. It masticates my afternoons after school, and dims my weekends drastically. Whenever I don't have swim practice, it's almost pathetic how energetic I am for the day. My parents force me to swim. I don't mind the sport, but when you're pushed to practice it at such a demanding, intense level, it's just not fun anymore. I started it for the exercise, but soon enough, it became about my times. My parents are actually pretty lax when it comes to my times compared to the other passionate parents. My God. Most people on my team...there parents are INSANE.

They keep spreadsheets of their kids' times and let them skip weeks of school to train in Holland and buy them fast suits that cost hundreds of dollars and are only good for two uses. I swear. So yeah, I've got it easier than others on my team, but most people on my team like the sport. So, maybe not. But really. This is what I do: I wake up, I go to school, I swim, I eat, I do homework, I go to bed. Repeat. That is my day.

This girl is just a bitch. She goes off on the wrong times and then lies about it, never confronts us about who goes first.... She thinks she's the fastest in the lane, but she's not. It's so annoying. We always try to talk to her, but she never listens. I've tried to be nice. I've been bitchy towards her. Nothing has worked. I've talked to coaches, other teammates...I don't know what to do! She is hindering me from doing well. She frustrates me so much. She cheats in practices and makes everyone look bad. She'll skip a set so then with the next one, she'll have more energy than everyone else and cut in front of me, going first. The coaches will see this and think, "Oh! Look! Casey's first!" And it's just really frustrating because it's like she's taking credit for my work. It's not even just what I said. It's a lot more. She kisses up to me too, and I know she's being fake. She's just...ugh. I can't stand her.

It used to be that way for me, too, when I was younger.

I'm sorry she's such a horrible person. I wish I could tell you what to do, but I can't really. I've never met such an inconsiderate bitch before, and if I have, I suppose I was able to get out of there before it got this bad.

The thing is, is if I move up a lane, the problem is solved. But that's a hard thing to accomplish, and I've been trying hard to move up, except this girl is blocking me from doing my best.

Jordyn, maybe it will focus you more, i always find that if the goal is to move away from someone/something, it makes me more determined.
