The Worst Fanfic in the World
This is a discussion/parody thread where we endeavour to write the worst fanfic possible. Please feel free to join in, and if you need badfic ideas, check out the I can't stand threads.
So, a round robin, eh? Should we set some rules, or just jump straight in and let the thing figure itself out?  __________________

I think we should probably have a few minimal rules, but not too many. Disorder will be more likely to make a really bad fic, but we might have to choose some fairly well known fandom or fandoms to work with, so we can all have at least a sort of idea what's going on - at least before we mess it up on purpose.

I would like to suggest Harry Potter, then; and perhaps Buffy.
How much should each person write? I'm unfamiliar with round robins, but I know I don't want to devote too much time to trying to write the worst fanfic in the world. __________________

I wouldn't worry about that - bad fics are usually short anyway.
 I'd vote for Buffy then - I have no clue about Harry Potter. But maybe that's not necessary anyway. Bad fic writers don't seem to have much clue either. __________________

I know both Buffy and Harry Potter. I think I would prefer Harry Potter, but a Buffy fic would be fun too.

No reason we can't do a Buffy/Harry crossover. Then we can have a Spike/Snape sex scene.
But if we only do 1 fandom, I vote for HP, because to me it's just not badfic without "Quidditch-toned muscles." __________________

Oh, we so have to write a Buffy/HP crossover now. I can just see the crossover opportunities. And just think of the possibility of Mary Sues!

Hee, I don't know much about Harry Potter, but I think Willow would fit right in. Which Harry Potter character would make a good match for Willow? That of course a Mary Sue would steal from her, because of her superior powers. (Maybe they could have a "wizard off?" - an elaborate battle of powers - hee).
And Snape and Spike - heh. If I remember correctly, Snape is the character of questionable morals, so that sounds like a great match to me. |

I've never read a Willow fan fic, but I understand Willow!Sue is a common problem. I bet Hermione!Sue is more obnoxious, though.
OK, at what point in time should we start? If we want the characters to be the same age, I think 6th year at Hogwarts = season 1 of Buffy, and 7th year = season 2 of Buffy. Draco: "What is this, another Weasley??" __________________

I'm sorry Tara" she said to Tara who was standing next to her "but this blond guy..." "The name is Malfoy,' says draco and he smirks showing off perfectly white teeth. "Draco Malfoy." Willow gigles and turns back to tara. "Draco Malfoy is too fine and now that we've transferred to hogwarts i don't think I can be a lesbian anymore because there are to many hot guys" "Its okay said tara "i have a crush on harry potter now anyway. Isnt it good that wer'e both not lesbians now" *** I'm not sure if we're playing with the bad spelling and grammar or not, but I thought it lent an authentic flavour. __________________

... followed by Buffy Xander Spike and Giles (authors note: cos Giles drank a youth potion earlier and now he's the same age as the scooby gang!!!!) who goes by the name of ripper. "ooh I hope I get sorted into Slithrin" says Spike very excited.
Before the others could reply the door to the great hall suddenly flew open, and everyone turned with a gasp to see... __________________
