The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same

Summary: The first in a possible series (depending on how everyone likes it and the inspiration level) where I will be basically re-writing the new spinoff starting from around episode three or four. This will focus mostly on the characters from the original show, but as I actually really like Silver, Naomi, Ryan, and a few others on paper (not so much when they're on screen, though), they will be thrown in the mix throughout to add some flavor.
Rating: PG to PG-13. There might be some higher ratings coming in the future, but I'll warn ya first.

Cast of Characters, in alphabetical order by last name:

Naomi Clark: Sixteen-year-old sophomore at West Beverly Hills High School. She is quite possibly the “most popular girl in school” and works hard to keep that title. She is dating fellow sophomore, Ethan Ward, though their relationship is unstable at best. Once upon a time she was Silver’s best friend, but betrayed Silver’s confidence and now finds herself the victim of Silver’s video blog, The Vicious Circle quite often.

Valerie Malone: Brenda’s best friend from Buffalo, New York. She lived in Beverly Hills for several years but never really find out her niche in the gang because she and Kelly were constantly at odds with one another.

Ryan Matthews: Twenty-four-year-old English teacher at West Beverly Hills High School. Seems like a sweet guy but has a strange obsession with pumping his girlfriend, Kelly Taylor, for more information on her son’s father. He also seems to have a past of his own that he is trying to keep quiet, though Silver knows something about it.

Dylan McKay: Thirty-three-year-old alumni of West Beverly Hills High School. He is a businessman and entrepreneur who travels the world and can never stay in one place for too long.

Janet Sanders: Editor and Chief of the West Side Observer, Janet has been married to Steve for nearly ten years and together they have a nearly nine-year-old daughter named Madelyn.

Steve Sanders: Thirty-three-year-old alumni of West Beverly Hills High School. Steve assists Janet with the West Side Observer, but has recently been looking into going back to school to obtain his Master’s Degree.

David Silver: Thirty-two-year-old alumni of West Beverly Hills High School. David is Kelly Taylor’s younger step-brother and Erin Silver’s older half-brother. He married his high school sweetheart, Donna, in 2000. He is also an afternoon disc jockey on a popular radio station.

Donna Silver: Thirty-three-year-old alumni of West Beverly Hills High School. She is Erin’s aunt by her marriage to David Silver in 2000. Donna is close friends with Kelly and is the proud owner of an upscale boutique on Rodeo Drive called Now Wear This.

Erin Silver: Fifteen-year-old daughter of Jackie Taylor and Mel Silver. She will only answer to the name Silver and prides herself on being fiercely independent and different from the same ol' same ol'. Lives with her older sister, Kelly, as her mother has substance abuse problems and she cannot stand her father. Silver is extremely protective of her family and close friends and will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Is sweet on Annie’s adopted brother, Dixon.

Kelly Taylor: Thirty-three-year-old alumni of West Beverly Hills High School and current guidance counselor. She is currently dating Ryan Matthews, but is hesitant to become involved in anything too serious for the sake of her son, Sammy.

Sammy Taylor: Kelly’s four-and-a-half-year-old son and product of basically a one-night-stand that Kelly had with someone from her past.

Brandon Walsh: A thirty-three-year-old alumni of West Beverly and current reporter for the New York Chronicle. He travels the globe but has always stated that his true home is Beverly Hills.

Brenda Walsh: A thirty-three-year0old alumni of West Beverly and twin sister to Brandon. She is a theater actress but has recently taken a break to assist with the West Beverly production of Spring Awakening. She’s currently trying to decide if she wants to return to New York or try to make a life for herself in Beverly Hills once again.

Annie Wilson: Fifteen-year-old daughter of Harry & Debbie Wilson. Student at West Beverly Hills High School and best friend to Erin Silver. Bubbly and slightly oblivious to the world, still a sweet girl who has her heart in the right place.

Dixon Wilson: Sixteen-year-old sophomore at West Beverly Hills High, he is the adopted son of Harry and Debbie and brother to Annie. He is interested in Annie’s best friend, Silver, and is an excellent lacrosse player.

Andrea Zuckerman-Vasquez: Thirty-three-year-old alumni of West Beverly Hills High, she is currently a pediatrician practicing in West Los Angeles. Her daughter, Hannah, is a current student at West Beverly. She is married to Jesse.
