If something sounds interesting, I'll read the first few lines to see if it's going to be worth reading, but it's exhausting.

I can't do that anymore, it's too frustrating - most of what I read now comes recommended, at least then I know it's going to be well written (mostly)

I used to have good BtVS and AtS fic sites bookmarked, but they disappeared when I got my new Macbook.

A lot of Buffy sites are down now - there used to be a lot of quality fics around but thats was around five years ago or more.

When I first got into the fandom it was about 7 years ago, so there was an abundance of amazing sites - now everytime I click on a rec link, it seems the site has been taken down

The only site I used to live on back in the day thats still online is allaboutspike.com They don't accept new fics anymore, but the archive is intact.

Every fic on that site is mostly well written too.

Rec's are a good way to go most of the time.

I couldn't believe it housed all my favourite Cordelia/Spike fics! I was so excited to find them again
