In helmer Patrick Lussier's remake of the 1981 slasher film, Ackles will play Tom, a handsome, principled man who returns to his home in Harmony, Mo., 10 years after 22 people were murdered on Valentine's night. Back in Montana, Tom finds he still is smitten with his first love, Sarah (Jaime King), and is now a murder suspect. Zane Smith wrote the screenplay.

Jack Murray, John Dunning and Andre Link will executive produce. Executive producers for Lionsgate are Mike Paseornek and John Sacchi.

Production begins May 12. A Jan. 23 release is planned.

Ackles (the CW's "Supernatural") is repped by WMA and Management 360.

I figured we'd have tons of Tom love!

Liz pointed this out to me, Jared played a Dean on GG, Jensen now plays a Dean, Jared played a Tom on Cry-Wolf, Jensen will now be playing a Tom. How ironic is that?

It is!

Jaime King is GORGEOUS! They are going to look so pretty together, serial killer or not I may have to ship Tom/Sarah.

Fanart makers, could somebody or a lot of somebodys whip up a Jaime/Jensen banner we could use for the opening until we get some actual 'Tom' pics? and with Bloody Valentine on the banner would be awesome!

I'm so excited about this news!

I just hope this movie will make it on the big screen here too, but I'm sure it will.

I have no idea who Jaime King is tho.

Jaime, was on the OC as that girl in a whip cream bikini when Seth and Ryan go to Florida for spring break, and she was on Sin City (the movie not the episode) She was on the short lived FOX series Kitchen Confidential. and a bunch of other movies.

I've seen Jamie somewhere, don't know if it was in OC or somewhere else but I know her from somewhere...anyway...a big congrats to Jensen for this movie! I think it will bring him only good marks and he will be more appreciated as an actor!

I remember that episode and know now also who she is. I haven't seen Sin City.

I know! WTF?! I was chatting with Liz and we were squeeing about her meeting Jared FINALLY! and then she's like Jensen got a movie! and I'm like what? Jared said? and she's like no it's on the HR site. so we started gushing about Jensen (then we went back to Jared ) I was going to Email you but I had to get offline to do a check. and thought it would be awesome to come to the board and see MOVIE NEWS!

I'm pleased he'll be working with Jaime, I only know her from a few things but she always does such a fantastic job. It should be great.
