I love how it fits with SPN so well. Like the title could have been used for the episode even if that movie never existed. There NEEDS to be a reference in the episode!!

EDIT: Jensen was SENSATIONAL tonight!! Totally broke my heart.

Before I let you know my thoughts and feelings about this episode I just wanted to tell you Bee that I love what you wrote about Sammy on the SPN Board. I was nicely suprised by it after what you had wrote here in the Dean/Sammy thread at the beginning of this week.

OH MY GOD!!!! I love this episode so much!

Fortunately I came here to read your opinion on this episode. Because of that I knew that the beginning would be gross so I skipped it. For me it is enough to know what happened I don´t need to see it. The scene where they are looking at the organs was enough for me - I am such a looser in that kind of stuff - I had to look away. With that out of the way - we now come to the awesome much loved stuff.

Castiel and Deans phonecall was funny and great delivered as always from Jensen and especially from Misha.

And then we have lots of loveable brother moments. When Sam tells Dean that he can´t do it and that he need to be locked away was so well done and beautiful acted. It broke my heart for both of them.

The scene after that when you look at Sam in the bathroom cuffed on the pipe from the wash bowl. You see his desire for the demon blood but you although see how much he is fighting against it.

The next scene which broke my heart again was Famine talking to Dean. Jensens expressions he are so well done. You can see how much the words hurt him but he fights it and tries to hide it.

And then came the moment which makes me such a proud Sammy fan. I know he drank demon blood again, but as some of you has point out already it was because of Famine. Even Castiel/Jimmy couldn´t resist him. But when Sam was free he could have gone after other demons to drink more blood, instead he went after Dean to rescue him. He choose his brother over his need of demon blood. And then again he said NO!!!! to Famine when he supplied him more demon blood. But rather he acted clever and killed Famine and saved the day. After that he was so ashamed of himself that he couldn´t look Dean straight in the eyes. He turned himself into Detox again.

And the endscene with Dean and Cas and when he is pleading to god - mashed my heart in million pieces. Jensen (and Jared) can break my heart then no other. His face and the running tears - I just wanted to hug him and tell him that everything gone be alright again. I am sure he had a lot of "walking it off" to do after that scene.

One of my highlights were although the exchange of looks after Sam killed Famine. Dean was the whole season five a little bit reserved to Sam (not that I blame him for doing it) but here it was the first real "big brother Dean look" we got for a while.









For me it shows how much he loves Sam (not that I ever doubted that) and that he finally is ready to trust him again. He switched into protective Dean mode here and he was so sorry and worried about Sam like season two or one Dean would have.

Jensen, Jared and Misha did an brilliant job in this episode!!!

What bothered me a little bit was: Where was Bobby? It was his panic room and he was nowhere around. We could have had an heartfelt moment between him and Dean.
