| I loved this episode!!! 1st : It had Cas back ![]() ![]() 2nd: Finally we´re back to the original storyarch ![]() 3rd: Mary&John Flashback ![]() Okay, now to my official review. Guess it´ll take some time to post it. ![]() Dean watching the Devil/Angel strippers in his dream - awesome! But I hated it, when Anna showed up. Can´t stand her at all. At first, I was like , oh no, why did you bring her back.![]() But then Cas showed up and for one moment I thought, he had send her back to her heavenly prison. I loved the flashback with the "Grease" movie poster to show which year it was. When Cas sent Dean and Sam back to 1978 and himself, too, and then we saw him with his nose bleeding. That made me so sad. ![]() Dean and Sam showing up at Mary´s and John´s - priceless. Especially Sam´s awkward behavior. That was awesome! When Sam talked to John in the hut, I just had to cry, because this dialogue was so sad. Especially, when you think of the John we knew from the future and the PastJohn who was so angry at Sam´s father. ![]() Dean and Sam telling Mary, they´re her sons. It was so hard to hear them say, it´d be better to never been born. And somehow (maybe because we knew the year), I already had the feeling, that Mary would say that she´s already pregnant with Dean. The dialogue between Michael and Dean was great, too. Even though, Dean is supposed to be Michael´s true vessel - which we finally got to know a bit more about, why it´s Dean - I felt sympathy for him.![]() But the episode title already referenced, that there would be no changes in their destiny or anything else, I knew it would stay the same. It really was a great episode! And all actors did an amazing job!! ![]() __________________ | |||

| I couldn´t put my feelings and thoughts about this episode in words after I first watched it. I was so overwhelmed by the greatnesses of it. Now I have watched it twice and some of the scenes even more. I tried to wrote down my feelings while watching it this time - so here we go: I love that Dean doesn´t just goes to that meeting with Anna. Castiel is awesome in that scene. He doesn´t say much but it is always cristalclear what his opinion is. For example - the trust issues "They do - I don´t. I didn´t let them coming." Or my favorite line of him ever "Because Sam is my friend". How long did I wait to here something like this from him. I love every bit of it what he tells Anna. When he threatend her that he kill her, if she comes near Sam. I was so proud of him. When Dean and Sam arrive in 1978 I am glad that they pay back the favour and are really concerned about Cas. Both of them! I like that Sam is the one who checked the breathing. You know how deeply Dean cares about Cas - but here it shows how much Sam does, too. Jared´s expressions when he sees his young parents for the first time at the door are so telling. They speak thousands words without saying any. I love that he is so overwhelmed that he can´t bring any words out - not even his name. It is a beautiful little scene. And then when they are in the living room I love Johns reaction to Sams staring and awkwards behaviour - it fits so perfectly and makes him so sympathic. And with Sam being so out of it - I am proud of Dean that he keeps it together and is totally in the head of the game. He is so in control and is helping Sam out - time and time again. He knows what Sam is feeling because of his experience last season. The fight between Anna and Mary reminds me a lot of Buffy. The way Amy moves or is holding that knife it is exactly the way Buffy aka Sarah would have done it. I kind of like it. And then at the end the look between John and Mary after Anna disappeared is heartbreaking. I love Matts portray of John so freeking much. He is so full of hope and love but there are some things there which reminds us of the John which he becomes later. When he tries to deal with the new situation and asked Dean how he can help. And then cutting himself to proof his point is so typical John. The scene with Sam and John is one of my highlights. The first time I saw it I was almost crying. Jared did an awesome work in it! And man these looks from Matt killed me - they went right to my heart!! And I love it that the roles were switch. Sam was defending his father and John said the stuff which Sam usually does. I love that John is so angry and worried about that kind of father. Not knowing that he speaks about himself. And then comes another great scene with Dean and Mary. When Dean tells his mother that he is her son and that she got killed by the YED. Amy is fantastic in that scene - all teary eyed and shocked and vulnerable. The line "I raised my kids to be hunters - how could I do that to you" hits me more then any actual puch could do. And I love what Jensen does with his hands in that scene. It is such a little gesture but it tells so much. He looks so in control and hide his true feelings behind a maske but is hands give it away how insecure and scared he really is. When Sam joins them it gets truly heartbreaking and depressed. Both are fine with with sacrificing themself. And I know what Dean means with the difference but I am more than glad that it was to late. Because the end result would be the same - no more winchesters - that he a no go!!! Jared, Jensen and Amy are brilliant in that scene. Everyone tops the look and the mimic from the other one. Jareds look when he tells Mary that they would be cursed is heartwrenching. And Jensens look when he says that this is bigger then them is even more painful. One more time Dean has to see Sammy die. I don´t understand how Anna and Uriel made it into the house but it doesn´t matter much to me. But the fight was good. What I love most about this scene is that Sam last word was Dean and Deans "Sammy...Sam" gets me everytime. I will never get tired of that! I love Jensens voice when he is so desperate. Nobody can scream "Sammy" like he does. Man do I love Matt as Michael. I love him as John but I love him even more as Michael. He shows what he is capable of acting wise. Deans "fix him" was another highlight as is the entired scene between these two. I was suprise that Michael really did it (I know that Sam can´t die right know but why would Michael do such thing) Maybe he does it because he knows that otherwise Dean will never say "Yes" to him. I have the feeling that all angels are manipulative bitches/bastard. They tell you exactly what they think will drive you in the right direction for them to reach their goals. I came to the conclusion that I will not believe anything they say - until it Castiel or Bobby says it is the truth. When everything is destiny as they all are telling these two - why do they have to asked for permission to get into their bodies. Why did God gave the vessels the option to choose yes or no? Just because the angels never disobey an order or doesn´t know free will - doesn´t mean there is none. So I am totally a member of the Team free will and don´t believe in the destiny crap. Jensen and Matt nailed this scene perfectly. I only can repeat myself by saying that it is unbelievable what Jensen can do with his eyes and mimic. He doesn´t need words to tell you what is going on in him and with him. The endscene is one of my favorites, too. It has a nice brotherly moment but also left me a bit scared about the future. I am more sure that Sam will stay at his no to Lucifer because he worried so much about it. But Dean was always so sure that he would stay at his no and know he starts thinking. Although he says that it is annoying and that the angels are wrong his looks tell a different story. And as Sam asked what would he do when he can save his mother? To sum it all up - I love this episode and it is one of my favorites now. Because of Sam and Deans interactions with their parents, with each other and with Castiel. And I am glad that Castiel had finally some stuff to do and wasn´t only treated as comic relief. And as I have praised all of these others - here is my praise for Misha. I loved him in the scene with Anna and with Sam and Dean in the Motelroom. And he had some awesome onliners which he delivered perfectly! __________________ My Livejournal: http://sunny214.livejournal.com/ My fanfiction site: ttp://www.fanfiction.net/u/1595290/sunny214 I hope you enjoy them ![]() | |||

But the one with him and Michael..was awesome too.And on a totally shallow note...young John/Michael..totally freakin hot Anna..bye. Thank you, Michael. Cause I was seriously not expecting her to kill freakin Sam. And those are my random thoughts of the episode. Oh..and before I forget...Cas!
