I Believe the Children are our Future

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a series of odd murders that strangely resemble fairytales and urban legends. The brothers track down an 11-year-old boy named Jesse (guest star Gattlin Griffith) and realize that whatever Jesse believes is coming true. Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam and Dean that Jesse is a serious threat and needs to be eliminated. Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin.

If this kid really is that much of a threat, I hope the boys do listen to Castiel, look at what happened with Sam? This all could have been avoided if Dean never brought him back.

Sometimes, you have to put down the rabid dog even if it's not showing any signs yet.

(and for the record...no I do not want Sam shot down like a dog...just putting that out there before people get huffy

but it's not what the winchesters, especially dean, do! do you think dean is going to listen at all to the idea of killing a little kid. no matter how big of a threat he might be in the future.

I'm not saying Dean is a gun happy kid killing freak, but he's seen the future, he know things have to change, and it's gotta be more then him and Sam riding around together, there is a bigger picture, and he trusts Cas, if Cas gives a good enough reason, if he can prove that this kid could help end the world, then I can see Dean doing it. Back in Croatoan, all Sam had to do was nod and Dean killed somebody, he's been through a hell of a lot since then, he's very capable of it.

I really wish this isn'ty gonna come down to them killing a kid. Threat or not. I just can't deal with that kind of stuff. It just breaks my heart.

Would it have been wrong to kill Lilith even if she was in the form of a child? (not knowing about the seal of course...although if they would have killed her before Dean went to hell, does she count at all?

because alister was saying that before any of the seals were broken there had to be a first, ...so would Lilith then be the first seal, or just not count?...anyway back to this episode) Same thing.

To me there is a huge difference between Lilith and this kidlilith was just posessing the kid she was a full fledged evil demon possessing a little kid, while this kid is just a kid who might be dangerous in the future

Might be? If Cas says he's dangerous then chances are he is. It's not like Cas makes a habit of telling the brothers to off little kids to get his kicks. Cas loves humans (for some off reason). So if he's going to say something like this, he has to be dangerous.

I'm like you Faith, I find it very uncomfortable seeing Children getting hurt on TV or films and it must be worse for you being a mother. There's just something so taboo about it. But hopefully it will be handled well in this episode and I know Cas won't don't anything that's not for the greater good, but it looks like it's gonna be a tough one for everyone to deal with!
