Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

Okie dokie! PHOTO SHOOTS!

Sadly there isn't many to choose from, not if we want to stay recent, but the ones we do have aren't too shabby.

I think the best one would be this one. It has the most variety, pictures look pretty clear and don't have much lighting issues, Jensen is very much Jensen and not Dean-ish at all (which I think is very important). Plus he's smiling in some of them! (I'm not above offering bribes to get a smiling Jensen in the banner, please? Pretty pretty please? ) That link seems to have the highest quality, but the pics (with a couple different poses) can be found here as well.

Another option could be this shoot. However the few pictures that are not in black and white, have questionable lighting and angles...might be difficult to get everything to match (plus no smiles. )

There is also the tux pics here. But they're so formal. and bordering on the line of 'dean-ish'. (but as you can see the other two photo shoots are there as well, but anything after the tux pics, are getting into the older (2013) category.

So to summarize, personally I love the first batch of pictures the most, and think they'd be the easiest to work with.

COLORS!

GREEN PLEASE! I took a look at all the boards on Fan forum and out of all the green ones, I loved Orphan Black the most, followed shortly behind by the Bryan Greenberg board (if you minus the brown/cream-ish colors) Jason Behr's base color and the header colors are also really nice So basically...any green that isn't the one we're currently using. Do you guys still go as dark as the Penn Badgley board? Because those green's are lovely.

So green please, but no browns/creams/yellows.

This is just my opinion. What does everybody else think? Don't be shy (new or older posters), shout it out! It really helps the GT the sooner we get our ideas posted.

ETA: OMGOSH BEE, I didn't even see your post before posting mine. Glad we thought of the exact same shoots. I was thinking green as well, for his eyes. And we don't like dark, try to keep it lighter so it is easier on the eyes.

Ramble all you like; this is your board and it is wonderful to see your passion for it .

You are asking for a green board so that is enough of a bribe for me to make everyone use at least one smiling picture of him.

While I do appreciate your enthusiasm we do not use other boards as bases for customisations. It does give us an idea as to what you would like to see but we would like each board to have their own unique customisation. We prefer if you take a look at sites such as design seeds for colour schemes which you like . As for the darkness of Penn; that is fine. The only darkness we no longer do is the black boards or boards with light writing on dark backgrounds.

Completely agree on all counts! It's quality over quantity. ...and Jensen could never do a bad photoshoot. It's just not possible.

Anymore feedback? Don't be shy people! What kind of greens? Light/Dark/Neon? (although I'm really hoping nobody is wanting a neon green board. )
