I think that's one of the main reasons why fandom likes her so much. remember when they first introduced Jo? Holy crap! (but she too got more interesting when they eliminated any romantic-ness between them)

Loved that scene so much it was so sweet and it reminded me why I love Dean so much. Yes Dean can be tough sometimes, but once you truly get to know him you can see how big his heart is. It takes a long time to earn his trust and even longer to get a place in his heart once you do though he will protect that person with everything in him.

Yes!! I couldn't stand Jo as a love interest but later when she came back in hunting mode to help I liked her a lot better, they were not a match at all romantically and I only saw her as a pestering little sister type. I hope they don't skew this up somehow, I love this duo.
