I agree, especially with somebody he has connected with and shares a bond with like Castiel.

They have had their differances, but they always seem to find their way back to each other.

In lieu of that, I really hope Dean finds his way back to Castiel in the new season, or vice versa. They're going to need each other's help.

I think they will, they seemed to be on the same page by the end of the finale, now it's just a matter of finding Castiel, hopefully he didn't get too hurt.

...but I would love to see a worrying Dean.
