yes and even in this current ep, the banshee locked in on Dean and he's banging his head while they waited to use the spell? they took all that time to paint the spell only to sit there while Dean got banged up first then decided to use it?

I loved this scene so much Dean needed that the flirting was hilarious tho

I'm not so sure Mary would have been much better though, she did make the deal, and I think if John would have been the one killed by YED, she would have became just as hell bent on revenge as John, but hopefully her mother instinct would have kicked in a bit, and at least left the boys with somebody like Bobby instead of dragging them all over the country. At the very least maybe she brainwash Dean into thinking he's worthless.

I agree with you. Mary was the one who started this "make a deal to save the one you love" and she was a hunter by blodd, but I think she would be samrt enough to give them away to someone who cared or have a homebase or something and I doubt she would train then with put downs the way John did.
