Red Sky at Morning
Thursday November 8th 2007

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the mysterious demise of drowned victims who were nowhere near the water at the time of their death.

The brothers learn each of the victims saw a ghost ship shortly before they died.

Upon investigation, they cross paths with Bela (Lauren Cohan), who is being paid handsomely by one of the murder victim's family members to solve the case.

Sam and Dean warn her to stay out of their way, but she has other plans.

Cliff Bole directed the episode written by Laurence Andries.

For me, this was the best episode so far this season. Some nice one one one sluething with the boys, a neat old house they were holed up in instead of a motel, funny subplot with Gerta (Greta?) and Sam while keeping the story interesting between Bela and Dean. Nice spooky bad guys - and it was more spook than gore which I prefer.
I had to pause it because I was laughing really hard three or four times. That's always good. (when he's holding Bela passed out in his arms and he shoves the piece of food in his mouth)
Personally I love the storyline between Bela and Dean. I don't feel a ton of chemistry there but it could be stregthened. Loved Dean's face after she got all hot about him in a tux - he was smiling when his back was turned. Sam was just hilarious. They are really giving him some funny stuff this season.

Favorite lines:
Dean: "You are so damaged."
Bela: "Takes one to know one."

The ending scene was just

The writers are really good at giving us those arguments scenes between the boys where I say, "Well, Dean is right." and then I say, "Well, Sam is right too!" And I felt it again last night. Sweet Dean was trying to open up and tell Sam how much he loved him and cared for him but then, he needed to hear what Sam said. It was kinda sad to me though how Dean just completely ignores a situation he doesn't want to have to deal with. He immediately just went to thinking about something fun and closed himself off.

Great episode.

Okay so I just watched.. and

my boys *pets* why do the writers torture you so?? It makes me sad to see this

I like it better when we are bonded together to fight a greater evil, side by side, .. I see thru Dean's behavior

but it still makes me sad .

I hate to say that Bella left a bad taste in my mouth this time.

And I am getting seriously tired of her getting the upper hand on m'man Deano !! *grrrrrr*

I don't want to say I don't like her, cause at this point I am still leaning toward thinking she is the best thing since sliced bread.. however this epi did tarnish her in my eyes just a tad

I LOVED Bela this week.

Yes she's a b*tch and snarky and kinda evil but she is so much fun! She could have laid off the Impala though! DUDE! DO NOT TOUCH THE CAR!

but other then that she was wonderful. I'm still floored at the chemistry Lauren and Jensen have! ...and get this!....me of all people was looking forward to the angry sex.

...I don't ship them! but that would have been super hot!

Jensen made me cry again.

the last scene when he's trying to talk to Sam and Sam tells him to be worried for himself and about dying and Dean gets this look, it got me all teary and emotional.

(how does Jensen do it? He didn't even say anything!)

There were so many good brother moments, the bantering, the teasing, Sam comforting Dean when Baby was stolen

the one liners, the just sitting in the farm house (and really how awesome was the farm house? I want one like that!) the talks, the agreement that Bela must be shot, but not in public.

Just a wonderful brother episode.

Sam irked me a tiny bit but I'll let it slide this one time
