Sounds like a great episode, and the previews made it look like it might be the Hell House or Tall Tales of the season.

I am very sleepy this morning and am having a hard time concentrating. SPN is usually the last thingI watch on Thursday nights (I tape smallville & spn while watching other shows, then watch them when the other shows are over), so it's usually around midnight when I finish watching and I'm getting quite tired.
So I'll probably end up editing this post after reading everyone else's comments.

Let me start by saying that for the first time ever - I LOVED Sam. Jared was fantastic! The scene with "I lost my shoe" was PRICELESS. I've never been a Sam fan but if Jared continues with performances like this this season, he might win me over (I'm worried about those angst scenes Jared!)
Several moments made me bust a gut. "Dude, did you see that throw?!" was fantastic! (can't remember if that's the exact quote). Dean's reactions to Sam were fantastic - especially when Sam fell running across the parking lot (which was a tremendous fall btw - go jared!)
I LOVED Bella. Okay, I know we're supposed to hate her but she's gonna be one of the bad guys I love to hate. I thought the actress (can't remember her name right now) did a great job. To be honest, I'm a little surprised that Dean didn't flirt just a little with her because he's always flirted with the pretty women, even when they are kicking his ass.

Now,:
1. They need to quit choking Sam. They are overplaying that just like the movie/pop culture references which there were again way too many of. It's starting to really piss me off because it pulls me out of the story.
2. Something bugs me about how everyone knows about the problem and how to solve it except for the boys. They need to get back to researching and using their own intelligence to figure things out. Nowadays, they just have Bobby tell them what something is and how to kill it or another hunter that they've met knows. It makes the boys look ignorant and I don't like that. They are our heroes, guys. They should be bigger and better than everyone.
3. The substory of Gordon and the odd hunters felt VERY off from the rest of the episode to me. They went for a much darker tone during the Gordon scenes which was weird in a light episode. And the scenes of the hunters in the RV? I'm not sure. Just.....not right. (Oh, and I wonder how the hunter affords such a huge, awesome RV? Those things are like over $200,000) But you're supposed to get a creepy feeling from this under who's gotten a sign from God and then when these two guys get into the room with Sam & Dean - the mood is light and funny. It just didn't mesh well.
4. As well, the opening scene of the boys in the car felt disconnected from the rest of the ep. And I, for one, didn't envision Sam telling Dean what Ruby had offered. I thought Sam would keep that to himself for awhile.

I didn't understand the promo for next week. I looked at my husband and said, "So, what is that ep supposed to be about?"
Most people hate Gordon but I love the actor who plays him. I think he's really good. And Gordon is supposed to be a psychopath so it all makes sense that he would be fixated on Sam (especially since Sam had him put in prison).
Now, I'm gonna smack my husband for fast-forwarding thru commercials because I totally didn't see the Supernatural Bedtime Stories some people are talking about on the net.
JesusDude was in some movie I watched once where he played a psychopathic killer in prison and that was all I could think about when watching him. Creepsville.

And that's all my brain can muster this morning. If I think of more, I'm sure I'll add it. Therefore, on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the best), I give this episode a 8½.

I loved this episode and ya'll get to hear my ramblings...

Right off the bat I am loving that Sam told Dean about Demon chick but not about "his mom's friends" Why? because it is just leaving us wide open for some Sammy angst and some comforting from his brother. *sigh*

And Gordon is back I know he is bad and trying to kill Sammy and I hate him for that, but he is such a good bad guy. I mean I like the fact that for once (well Benders aside) we are dealing with the human element. And as we all know "Demons I get, people are just nuts" (not a direct quote, don't flame)

BadLuck Sammy is the thing that rainbows and sunshine are made of I absolutely loved him in this episode. From the fall in the parking lot, and How adorable was Dean there!!, to the line that haunts me day and night

"I lost my shoe"

Now I don't usually say this about Sammy/Jared, but everything from the delivery to the look on his face to the slump of his shoulders to the cracking of his toes was PERFECT!!! I feel in love with him a little bit there

I love seeing Bobby but like Crystal said I am growing tired of the boys having to rely on everyone else to figure things out for them.. How did we survive Season one I wonder ?? hmmm..

Dean in the motel scene was, as usual, great. I am loving the return of the real Dean Winchester and as you said Bee a shapeshifter is the only explanation for his behavior in 3:01

Now on to Bella I felt something akin to awe for her.. an original character, not a girl mirrored in Dean's image but her own person. and granted she isn't "pure white" but what do we know about her ?? I mean she obviously knows her way around so maybe her parents were hunters and got killed by something evil so that turned her against hunting and into living her life the way she fits. . I don't want to judge too quick, but I thought it was really smart of her to shoot Sam *ducks from flying objects being thrown at my head*

Sorry guys I am not glad she shot Sam or anything, and she just nicked him, if she wanted to kill him she could have, but she didn't !! I am just really glad to see a woman on this show that can actually think for herself and not just follow the boy's leads, she can take care of herself, and I like that. And I kindoflove that Dean got the upperhand twice and she technically only got him once. . in the diner it was Sam she fleeced.

So yeah, I have to give it 3.5 Dean Cookies (out of a possible 5)

OMG! SAMMY I LOVE YOU! Hee!

but before we get to the Sammy gushing...we must get to the most important part first.....

FOOT PORN!...not just foot porn, Jared/Sammy foot porn! *THUD* I LOVE MY SHOW! and he curled his toes and flexed his foot! *happy sigh* ...and the only thing that looks better then bare-feet and jeans is socks and jeans...and OMG did his sock covered foot look beatiful! *sigh* ♥

ok...where was I? Oh right Sammy is awesome! Seriously how cute was he tonight? His puppy look, his bad luck, his good luck, his actually checking out a girl! Hee! Sammy rocks! the best part, was him standing there looking like he was 6 and telling Dean he lost his shoe! OMG so much love for that scene! ...but yeah that had to be the way they were when they were younger! ...oh and Sammy played soccer!...and Sam told Dean about Ruby, he does lose points for not telling Dean about Mary...but we'll worry about that later.

Dean! of course I have to gush about Dean! He's Batman! Hee! Oh Dean I wuvs you! I love big brother Dean when Sam is losing his shoe and falling all over the place, he's just all whatever. and omg he said anyhoo! Hee! ...and the glee over his first shot off shotgun! Oh dean! ...and the scratch tickets, and the brain freeze! ...OH I LOVES YOU SO! *squishes* ...and he was super awesome when Sam was shot! *sigh* ...i have more to gush about I'm sure but my brain is over loaded with glee right now.

other things...

GORDON! Sweetie you're back! *squishes* dude you gotta get over your Sammy must die kick but other then that, GREAT TO SEE YOU! Prison looks good on you dude! ...and why are you in cool blue when the boys were in orange? *shrugs*

Dude that is helping Gordon, I don't remember your name but OMG! you could be interesting. "don't play with my Jesus" Ok usually I stay away from lines like that but that has to be iconed!

Bobby! *squishes*

Bella, I don't want to jinx myself and you end up turning into a major thorn in my side...but dare I say I LIKE YOU! You're awesome! you're a bitch in that cool kinda way, you shot Sam instead of trying to save him which gave us worried Dean and a brother moment! (so right there that puts you way ahead of Ruby) you have a cool cat, tons of chemistry with Dean (but I warn you right now at no point in time do I want you near him naked!) you're sneaky ...and you're gorgeous! ...plus both boys were checking you out so who knows we migt get some three-way fic action! (but again you touch either boy on the show I may have to hurt you. We'll talk again by mid-end of the season)

clearly I loved this episode! It was fun and light and still moved the story along and I LOVED that Jared got the funny man stuff this time around, usually he gets stuck being the straight guy. This was just so much fun!

MUST REWATCH NOW!

OMG I looove the third SPN episode! It's one of my favorite now! It cracked me up! It was hilarious...so freaking funny! Love it! Hahahah....I wish I had such rabbit foot! That'd be awesome, wouldn't be?!
Anyway, Sam was so cute in this episode. I feel bad for him cause so many bad things happened to him in this episode. He lost his shoe, he fell pretty bad and hurt his knees, he was knocked out...by a curtain! WTF? Poor Sammy! *HUGS* *Many Hugs For Sammy*
DEAN!!! I love this man! HAHAHA....he was awesome in that episode. I had so much fun watching the episode! LOL.....I feel bad cause Bella stole his lottery tickets...that was cruel! But he will get his revenge That's Dean Winchester for God sake!
Ohh...I almost forgot to mention FINALLY! They said it! Dean is Sammy's weakness?! YEah, baby....how long did it take this to be said?! 2 seasons! LOL.....
Anyway, this was the first time we see Bella on screen adn I have to admit I ACTUALLY LIKE HER!? Like, really "like her". She is gorgeous and I can feel the chemistry with Dean! Finelly they picked the girl for Dean that I like! But I am not sure If I wanted her near him naked?! But I like her!.....And her cat!? OMG, I am sort of afraid of cats cause they are kind of creepy! LOL And don't you think Bella had beautiful eyes! She has cat's eyes! That's cool....She's cat-woman and Dean is Batman! LOL

Great eppy, seriously.
I had to watch it twice in a row cause my brother arrived just when my sister and me were done with it, but I was glad.

I actually felt kinda bad for laughing at Sammy so much when I thought about all his bad luck. But then I did it again the second time.
The guy's face when he lost his shoe. Pure gold.

And the Batman thing, OMG

The fangirl in me squeed at "She knows what your weakness is, it's me."
