I am stepping down as your Jake co-mod.

Yes, I know this might come as a surprise to some of you here. First I’d like to apologize for this decision. It was hard – yes, tough. I wasn’t even expecting this myself. Then, I thought about it and decided that it’ll be best for me and for all the Gyllenhoes that I’ll resign from my post.

Before this board got added February last year, I wasn’t really expecting that I’m going to love and even mod the board. I was just a simple poster who was anticipating Brokeback Mountain. But then after BBM and after the board got added, I became hooked, not only to Jake but to the posters and friends that I had met here. I find solace in this place. When everyone was crazy patronizing and criticizing Jake and his gay cowboy performance; we had not faltered with our praises for his role as Jack Twist. We cry every time we watch him say, “I wish I knew how to quit you.” Even after that, there were gay rumors milling about, we just shrug it off and even I wanted it to be true. I am a crazy slasher. Fanforum went offline for few weeks and we even got our LJ community up so we can stay in touch.

I loved it! I love everything that we post, talk, laugh about – everything we do here. I love our bond, our friendship, our dedication. I love you all!

I’d like to say that my reason is personal, but I feel like I should be honest with all of you. I don’t like saying I am stepping down because I had lost my love for Jake or something like that. No! I still love him and I’ll still support him no matter what. I will be here as a regular poster. You won’t get rid of me that easy.

I will be stepping down as your co-mod because I had grown much into another fandom – other boards. First, I’d like to try out for mod positions on those boards. I can’t do it if I have two permanent boards already. I had to release one. Maroon5 needs me as we’re short on posts. I am certain that Jake Board will not have that problem. Second, I felt like I will eventually be more like a poster and not a mod for the Jake Board. It’ll be unfair to other Gyllenhoes who are more deserving than me. So I had decided I’d step down.

To all my Jake co-mods (previous and current): Missy, Sharon and Teena. You guys are the best! I could’ve never done my mod job here greatly if it weren’t for all your help. I love you girls.

Missy – I miss you hon. I hope you’re here so I can thank you personally.
Sharon – I know it’s been tough for you and I want you to know that I am always here for you. I miss you much and I know we’ll get that Heath board soon.
Teena – I really hate leaving you now but I do know you understood my decision. I’m so glad that I get to mod with you. You’re one of my closest friends here at FF. You and I and the Jake Board is the only board here at FF with two Pinoy Mods on board. Go Karugs! And if you need help, you know where to find me.

To all the Gyllenhoes;
Mel, Karen, Lauren, Mel, Stef, Jayme, Cris (if I miss out on anyone, I'm so sorry. I'm typing this on top of my head) - Thank you girls. I love every post and every talk we have here. I’ll still talk to you and I’ll be here still.

Jenn – you’re a wonderful friend. Your Jake love is unwavering. I’m glad you ‘re back now. SNL did bring back your Jake addiction.

Rach – oh, even though you’ve resigned as an MST. I still remember all your help here as our temp mod. You’re the best MST we have I hope to still see you around.

To my Karugs Girls – Naku! Alam ko madrama ito. Pero Go Karugs pa rin tayo! I love you all. At symepre si Heath and Jake pa rin in the end ang magkakatuluyan.

All right. I won’t bore you much with all my drama.

It’s hard, I know, that I had to quit you. I’m sorry.

Gay , you have to do what is best for you.

I think it shows how much you love the board , in that you want it to have a moderator that is 100% devoted to Jake and can give the board the time and attention it needs.

Aww, Gay. I'm sad that I didn't have a chance to get to know you better, but I'm comforted to know that you'll still be around. It sucks having to step down from a Mod position (I left the Dom Monaghan board when I realized I couldn't do it anymore), and so I completely understand what you're saying/going through.

Hopefully I'll see you around.

gay, in behalf of all the gyllenhoes, thank you for your wonderful work as Mod of this board. i'm sure everyone agrees with me when i say that you've been a hardworking, supportive and fun Mod. we all wish you the best in your future endeavors especially here in FF. we will miss you.
