| Arrgh! I cannot wait to see Jarhead again so I can finally decide which one I like best, Donnie Darko's or Jarhead's. But I have this little feeling that once I see Jarhead I'll go on with the..."I cannot pick one" attitude ![]() __________________ "There are few out there who do still believe in you. They are such different performances. I lvoed them both and refuse to choose Jack Twist..amazing performace..he was passionate and loving and just all around...well, I dont have any words. Beyond amazing I guess I suck at describing stuff ![]() Swofford..he did outstanding! The whole movie. ![]() __________________ Jake is celebrating 100,000 posts! | |||

It's not everyday that you can get into a character totally not you. I'm not saying that because he kissed a guy, that makes him a great actor. That's pathetic! Although not every Hollywood actor can kiss another person of the same sex, I like Jake's portrayal of Jack because he made the audience feel what Jack was feeling. You can feel his longing, his pain, his sufferings and his love. Maybe it's with his eyes and the way he moves. Moonlight Mile's Joe Nast is also a great performance. Joe's subtle inner battle makes his role interesting. I love how he delivered his lines, from the confession with Ellen to the courtroom scene. He was marvelous! __________________

| I love his Versatility in roles, so I can't choose just one, but some stand out more then others though.. BBM - WOW!!!!! He deserved his nomination to the fullest. Not because of the role, but because of his portrayal of Jack.. Sexual Predator MY ASS, that comment pissed me off. I much rather prefer "Hopless Romantic" that best describes Jack. Jake lured me into his performance. Even when he was silent, his eyes spoke volumes and not many actors can lure you in like that, but he did. I loved the way he looked sitting around the fire talking about a sweet life, the innoncence that came across with just a tender look, made you believe his character was longing to be with someone, even though he knew it was impossible. I don't think I could imagine ANYONE taking that role to heart like Jake did. He outshined Heath IMHO. Heath was great, but Jake was amazing. he made me fall in love with his character, even though I knew he was gay.. ![]() Jarhead - DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! Where to begin, aside from being ripped, toned, muscular, sexy, tough, hardcore and NAKED as a J-bird with a santa clause crotch cover, he was great. The movie wasn't my favorite, but everything I mentioned made it worth my 2 hours of viewing time.. even his ass is toned perfectly. ![]() DD - Where to begin.. I don't think, I could hold a straight face, knowing that I was arguing with a 6 foot demonic bunny Jake was great in this one too. So dark and mysterious and wierd and appealing all in one film. Such a great starting point to get recogninzed for talent.__________________ adam lambert: "i love kris so much." ~ adam ღ kris | |||

| I think I always tend to forget about Moonlight Mile. It's true it's not (to me) the most outstanding performance of all, but I remember being amused and incredibly touched by his performance the first time I saw the movie. During the movie you just consider him to be doing a very simple role, but as the movie moves by you realize he's just contending the emotions Joe's feeling! Jake's just too perfect ![]() __________________ "There are few out there who do still believe in you. A few will never give up on you. It isn't the outstanding one but his portrayal of Joe Nast just beats the lonely/hurt part of my heart. Joe's quiet but Jake had expressed his grief and undecidedness (Is there such a word? ) very well.Karen You're Jarhead comment. Even his butt is toned?! I agree. Sexy. And that smilie. Oh, and RE: Jack Twist. Jack's eyes showed his inner world. Jake has this amazing expressions and his uses his eyes to let the world relate to Jack's feelings. It's a wonderful gift. __________________
