thanks for starting the new thread, jenn.

so what did you guys end up doing last weekend? i felt crappy the whole day of sunday. i had a very bad headache that lasted til i fell asleep at night. i thought i was gonna get a cold or worse. good thing when i woke up yesterday the headache was gone and i felt loads better.

Mee...I did nothing Friday...Saturday..umma bit of shopping and then went out drinking with a friend of mine for her sister's birthday. We had a blast!

Sunday...filed my taxes...found out I was a mod...was tiiiiiiired...then went to a Super Bowl party

I saw some movies...............Smoking Aces, Letters from Iwo Jima, and Because I Said So.

jenn, sounds like you had a good weekend. do you live in miami? i heard there were a lot of superbowl parties there. where was the party that you went to?

mel, i heard good things about letters of iwo jima & because i said so. smoking aces didn't get good reviews. i'm planning to watch babel or the holiday this coming weekend.

No..I live in Missouri...but the Super Bowl is a big deal anywhere you live

I love movies...................I see tons!

I saw Hollywoodland when it was in the theaters. Not one I would buy on DVD, but I liked it. Affleck was great.

Teena - Letters from Iwo Jima was teriffic. I wasn't expecting that, but because of the hype I wanted to check it out. Flags of Our Fathers was good, but I preferred Letters from Iwo Jima.

I hated Babel. if it wins movie of the year I will be so mad. The acting was good, but the movie just didn't work for me.

I loved The Holiday.

Smoking Aces was flat out crazy. But, Jeremy Piven and Ryan Reynolds were awesome!

Because I Said So was cute but not great.

jenn, i went to st. louis for on the job training in april 2001. i was there for almost 2 months.

mel, you didn't like babel huh? that's a first cos all the reviews are great and some friends of mine really liked it. well, i'm definitely watching the holiday this weekend cos babel isn't in the theaters anymore.

teena - Babel did get alot of critical praise. But, nope, I didn't care for it at all. It was an interesting concept though and the acting was good.
