| Elite Fan  | Harold Dobbs exists!  I've seen this movie now - such a powerful film.  Wow, Jake was so awesome in this role as Hal!  And he was looking extra gorgeous, to boot...loving all the white T-shirts and such.  Hal was such a sweetie, like in the beginning, when he's inviting Catherine to his band's gig...who wouldn't go along with a hot, smart, and sweet guy?  His support and encouragement for Catherine was wonderful, so I'm glad she gave him another chance. Their final scene was a good sign for the future. Math nerd or not, Hal has a wonderful personality that made me instantly like him! | I love Proof! The weird thing is I had it for about a year before I got around to watching it... Kind of angry at myself for not watching it sooner. But Hal Dobbs is an incredible character. He actually reminds me of a friend of mine except he's a history nerd and not a math nerd... sigh. | Well I bought it a long time ago at Blockbuster, one of those things where you get 4 $10 DVDs for $20, and I never really got around to watching it (I have so many more I haven't watched yet because we got so many...) And my obsession with Jake didn't come around until July 2nd. And that weekend I was looking through my DVDs and realized that I had it and I watched it right away. It's weird though. It's one of my favorite movies, but not one that I can watch all the time. I have to be in the mood.
