He's gorgeous in every movie...but I really couldn't stop staring at him in Proof. I liked his character because he was cool, smart, sweet, romantic, but really full of integrity and although he liked Gwen's character (whose name escapes me) he stood up to her when he questioned something. Even when she didn't want to take credit for it, he still gave her the notebook and showed he wasn't out for himself or to be famous.

Excellent analysis! Jake's character was so awesome in this movie. I wish we would have seen even more of him.

Does anyone else think Anthony Hopkins is a bit creepy? Everytime I see him I'm reminded of his Hannibal Lector character.

I didn't really notice if it was actually released here on our theaters. I think it had been, I just didn't know it.

I'm currently looking for the dvd but couldn't find it yet, unless I give in and buy a bootleg that'll be a different story.
