I don't think it's possible for Jake to be in a bad movie!
Each one of them, that I've seen so far, has been amazing.

I just get so inspired, by Jake's incredible acting and the (often unique) quality of the films, to write something about what I saw...and I love to visit this board.

I get such a kick out of the line where Douglas says, "Maybe I'll finally get to use my gun," or something like that. Jake's facial expression was great!
The torture scenes were difficult to watch. I was glad when Douglas stepped up and decided to try and talk to Anwar, but the civility didn't last long in that one session.

I was kind of hoping that Izzie and Douglas would at least get a phone call in during the movie...so she could talk to the man who helped set her husband free...but I guess it's more poetic somehow, not to have them communicate.

I loved the ending...it's such a quiet reunion, not all boisterous and excited...I think that just emphasizes the hell that the couple had to go through.

BTW, my husband watched it with me, and he really enjoyed it, too.

I too was one that kind of wanted a phone call between Douglas and Izzie too

Yeah, I agree it would have been nice for them to talk. Funny that someone else would bring it up.
