Welcome to the third Sidekicks Viewing Party

The Idea behind is to watch the Harry Potter movies with a special focus on our favorite couple
The Sidekicks
(Ron Weasly & Hermione Granger)

We will get together with all The Sidekicks Fans on

and have a great time

So spread the word of course

We all will on our own watch Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban again and discuss it togehter on this thread. Questions below are provided to get a discussion started and lead it into the sidekicks direction of course.

1. What are your thoughts about the movie in general? (good? could have been better?)
2. What's the biggest thing you'd change in the movie?

Watched it last night on my iPod! ~~Totally didn't sta up till four am. Nope!~~

Yay! Discussion time!

1. What are your thoughts about the movie in general? (good? could have been better?)
It was good in general, I mean great. It was entertaining, the story was told fairly, all the important stuff for the future all made sense I think. I liked it, as a book fan and as a film ingeneral. Somethings could have been better obviously but we'll get to that later

2. What's the biggest thing you'd change in the movie?
Wimpy Ron and Super Hermione. I did not approve of that at all. I mean I'm a girl that's very much into girl power and having strong female leads, and Hermione obviously is a very strong girl but I did not think it neccessary that they needed to lesson Ron's courage to make her appear bigger and better. Ron was in gryffindor for a reason, and because of this movie a lot of movie-only fans walk out thinking of Ron as a wimp, and not as the crucial part of the trio he is.

3. What was your all favorite scene in the movie?
The final scene with Harry and Sirius was very moving, I adored it. My heart went out to Harry so much, it was just so touching. Also when Harry and Sirius are outside on the grounds talking about Harry living with Sirius some day...aw. And of course I loved Hermione comforting Ron while that was going on

4. Did you have a favorite shippy scene in the movie?
The hand grabbing...and people say there was no sexual tension, puh-lease!

And the scene I mentioned above, it was very cute without being like over bearing.

5. Do you think it was a sign that Hermione got herself a ginger cat?
You know what's odd, I never thought of that!

. I guess it is! Hermione herself probably didnt realize it herself when she did but it's funny what the unconcious mind will do sometimes.

6. How did you first feel about Super!Hermione and Wimpy!Ron and how do you feel about it now?
Hated it then, as a ranted up there, and I still hate it. And I also hate how occasionally people will use PoA movie has evidence against Ron/Hermione. Puh-lease! Read the books properly folks!

7. What were your thoughts about the awkward hand holding scene and what do you think were Ron's thoughts in this moment?
It was absolutely adorable, and realistic, and very much them! I love how romance is in HP, it's small and subtle but it can speak a great deal about the relationships blossoming, and the awkward hand grab is a good representation of that. I think Ron was just as surprised as Hermione was. I think he's starting to feel something here and he doesn't really understand what it is, so he'll go off and be a boy

8. What was the crucial moment for Ron/Hermione in this movie?
I honestly think the bickering matters. I really do, it matters a lot. I think what needs to be understood is that sometimes there is a certain indifference to the way say Harry will behave with Hermione and vice versa as to how Ron and Hermione will be with each other. The bickering isn't about hostility, it's about how they get that there is something going on between them [on their own terms] and they can't figure out a way to work out what it all means. Did that make sense?
