That's what I've been thinking Darcy. I really think a lot of it is just natural ability to react. Sometimes even he seems a little surprised to what people say. He just does a great job of reacting not only with words but with his expressions.

I'm thinking specifically of the "emotional range of a teaspoon" scene. His looks and laughs just brighten that scene. And to see Emma just start to giggle...
well said! for me, its the whole Grawp scene. and that scene with Emma about Hermione helping Ron with his OWLS.

Yes, acting is a lot more than 'acting right' when the camera is on you. I think both Rupert and Matthew Lewis are good at this. They act with their face and body language even if the focus isn't on them. That's a talent I think.

It's the best kind of talent, imho. It's something you simply can't teach. An actor either has it or s/he doesn't.

Whoa. Not much news happening Rupert-wise these days... Hopefully, we'll have something for you all in the next few days...

My understanding is that Rupert is actively seeking a new project to work on and is presently looking at the different options, as I believe he'll have time between filming the last two HP films to involve himself with a new project. There's absolutely nothing concrete to report at this time, but we should hear something in the next few days.

Stay tuned!

Rupert was spotted, last night, in a commercial for an upcoming episode of the Food Network's new season of their "Ace of Cakes" program. They made a cake in the shape of Hogwarts which they did for OotP's L.A. premiere after party, The show is set to air on TONIGHT (January 24th) at 10:30 pm, please check your local listings.

You may see caps of it, HERE.

I completely agree guys and couldn't have said it better myself....there's just something that much more appealing and attractive when an actor comes across so naturally, like our Rupe does, don't you think? And thanks for bringing that EW report over---yay for our guy! Question, though---what are you referring to when you mention Emma and Hermoine helping Ron with his OWLs?

Linds is talking about a scene in the movie which specifically involves Emma, and Rupert; it was, in fact, taken from the book, where they're in the common room and Ron's saying how grateful he is to Hermione for helping him with his homework/OWLs... where he says something like 'Hermione you're the most wonderful person that I've ever known..." and Hermione replies that she'll help him only with the introduction... and he then says "Well, if I'm ever rude to you again..." to which Hermione responds with... "I know you'll be back to normal"...

First Images of Rupert at Gloucester Set!
The article states:
"Reporter Kate Nicholls managed to get a quick look behind the scenes - and saw crew busy making magical potions ready for the filming of the sixth book in the series - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince."

"Two sets of crutches were also spotted arriving at the set - leading to speculation the scenes after Ron falls from his broom in a game of quidditch could be being filmed.
