| Well, I feel a bit emotional because I'm going back to France on May, 18th and, yesterday, the International Services organized a dinner to say goobye to the international students who are leaving. I'm obviously glad to go back home and see my family, my friends and my country again but I'm also a bit sad. Coming to the US was the best experience I've ever had. I met people from all around the world who were nice and interesting. The most amazing thing is that I never even felt homesick and that's saying something for someone who had never lived abroad and who is very shy. I thought 9 months would be a long time but it definitely wasn't. I can't believe it's the end of the semester. Everyone made a small speech about their experience. I was shaking and losing my words but my roomate told me she really liked mine. That's good news. | Aww I'm really glad you enjoyed yourself Virginie! I was going to do Camp America but I couldn't afford it in the end. I would like to try something like that though, and it doesn't necessarily have to be in America. It's amazing that you didn't feel homesick! I went to Canterbury for a few days last year with my boyfriend (now ex) and couldn't wait to come back home.  As you've said, you had a great experience and when you go home you can start the next chapter of your life and you'll always have those great memories of the US. Enjoy the last few weeks that you have there.  | |||
