This is the story of what it’s like to grow up in high school.

about the movie .......
Based on the novel written by Stephen Chbosky,
this is about 15-year-old Charlie (Logan Lerman),
an endearing and naive outsider, coping with first
love (Emma Watson), the suicide of his best friend,
and his own mental illness while struggling to find
a group of people with whom he belongs.
The introvert freshman is taken under the wings
of two seniors, Sam and Patrick, who welcome
him to the real world.

“I know what it meant to her, to have that kind of acceptance
for another role other than her beloved part. It meant
the world,” Stephen Chbosky, director and author of Perks
told CTV of Emma and the role of Sam.

Logan Lerman: She’s great. She’s really a great person
and easy to work with and a fantastic actress. [I am] a big fan of Harry Potter.
Yeah, it’s really exciting to see her outside of the series
and what she’s able to do. She’s not only pulling it off, but she’
blowing people away with her performance.

Ezra Miller: They should have thrown me someone a little harder to handle
so it could have been a bit of a challenge. Emma’s one of the most severely
mind-blowing forces of my peer group in acting right now.
Based on what’s come before this, people just have no idea what
she’s capable of. She has become in these short weeks one of
my dearest friends. I think that will be the case forever.
And she is the type of artist who is going to make her true
self known in time. I personally look forward to watching an
entire population of Harry Potter fans get their minds twisted
into small pretzel-ish knots over what this girl can do.
That’s exciting to me.

Nina Dobrev: This has been a really great choice for Emma, and the role
couldn’t be more perfect for her. It’s different than ‘Harry Potter.’
She’s showing everyone in the world that she’s got a different side
of her and that she’s not just this one character.

I just saw this this week and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And not just because of Emma (but lbr, she's why I watched it). I even bought it this week on bluray. I loved the plot, and the friendships. Logan Lerman was amazing in this, I think. His Charlie was so innocent, so sweet, earnest and vulnerable. And Logan's chemistry with Emma was wonderful. A few scenes of theirs actually made me tear up a bit. Especially the first scene in Sam's bedroom.

I really related to Charlie and Sam and Patrick and what they were going through. I'm looking forward to reading the book now.

Also LOVED the Rocky Horror moments!! So awesome.

It was perfect and the whole cast did so well, not even just Emma though she was standout and I loved her American Accent so much. But the story really speaks to people and it's amazing that it helps so many people in a situation like that.

Me too! I love hearing her speak in an American accent. She's done really well with it, actually. Even though there might have been a few times when I felt she was over enunciating, but all in all, she did a fantastic job. And that scene between Sam and Charlie in her room (the first one) was just so moving and perfectly acted by the both of them. Stellar.

So heartfelt. The entire movie is just so heart warming. My bluray came in the mail yesterday.

I watched it again and just loved it. I think certain actors have that spark together and definitely Emma and Logan had that in spades.
