Emma Watson launches ethical fashion label with People Tree Emma Watson has launched an ethical fashion label with People Tree, which will be selling organic fashion and fair trade aimed for people ages 16-24. Of the project, Emma said: "I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with," she said. "I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian and environmental issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren't many options out there." The line, which uses organic and fairly traded cotton, consists of clothes handmade by fair trade groups, creating jobs for disadvantaged people in Bangladesh, India and Nepal. The line, which will include "knitwear, cotton T-shirts, jersey dresses, poplin skirts and shorts," will hit stores February 2010, and be available online.
