| it's a very strange song. i think they will end up just dancing to the music in it, not the lyrics. they lyrics don't suit the moment in the slightest. it would almost be terrifying to see them dance to it. lol. __________________ If you're sitting down, get on your feet. | Here it is HarrHerm YouTube - O'CHILDREN BY NICK CAVE and, okay, it would make much more sense if they dance soley to the instrumental parts because it would be terribly awkward if they played the whole song as it is about, ehm, prison camps and such...haha, I know that Dh is darker, but that would be a bit extreme, especially if Harry is trying to cheer Hermione up! I was even more confused because I'm quite sure Hp has never used lyrical music in any of its movies, so it's like, "hmmm, let's decide to change this by having Harry and Hermione dance to a really depressing, really unsuitable song for the moment, yay!" haha, thank goodness the producers (most likely) would never do that! haha. And, speaking of the Hp producers (and because I missed a conversation about one of my favorite D/E discussion points! lol) I'd like to agree with your sage friend, missygurl, because I too think that Dan and Emma are *cough*liars*cough*...well, not in the general sense, but definitely about their relationship and/or feelings for one another. As HarrHerm said, I have definitely seen the chemistry between these two since day 1 (as did the casting directors, that's why they chose the respective trio, lol) and, as Dan has admitted, they had little crushes on each other. This may have been all it was at the time (they were only 10 and 11 when they started, I think...), but then they started seriously "liking" each other during PoA, they were too, too, too obvious in the movie (did you know that Harry and Hermione aren't even "touching" each other in the book? lol) and most definitely during PoA promo (hand-holding, anyone? haha). And, back to what your friend said, missygurl, since then, both D/E have been very, very careful not to say anything too definite about any romantic feelings or aspects of their very close relationship. E.g. Dan will only admit to crushing on Emma a little bit when they were younger and Emma (who, in my opinion, has sometimes been even more obviously flirting with Dan! haha) denies everything. That HBP R&K interview always makes me laugh....so apparently Emma had a crush on Tom Felton but always (you know, just always) thought of Rupert and Dan as "just friends"....haha, very likely story. My belief? I dunno, I wouldn't be so bold as to say they are in love (well, I think, at least at one point or another, they were/are), but, as the center of the huge franchise that is Harry Potter, they can't exactly date openly or even admit that they have feelings for one another (publicly). I think that they probably started "dating" during/after PoA and then decided to hold hands at the PoA premiere, but, interestingly, they only did so at the UK (the first/earliest) premiere, not at the NYC one as well, strange, right? I think that a collaborative decision by Dan and Emma could have been made (they didn't want all the tabloids/press writing about them, understandably) and/or an executive decision by WB (&HP producers) somehow "forbade" Dan and Emma from dating each other in the public eye (perhaps a contract or something, I know there are, for example, restrictions in Emma's contract, like, the "Good Behaviour Clause" or something)....this could be for filming purposes (Harry and Hermione are just friends so, following suit, Dan and Emma are, of course, just friends as well), but it could also be for Dan and Emma's protection....remember, they were extremely young back then (barely 14 I believe) and experiencing an amount of fame closely rivalling that of the Beatles...growing up is hard enough, but in the public eye like that? I can definitely see Daivd Heyman (who's so adorably fatherly to these kids) heading a meeting saying, "We need to look out for these children..." especially because (as we have seen even with all of the "denial") the media would sooo love it if Harry and Hermione were hooking up. I know things are more low-key in England regarding the paps, but still, can you imagine if they just went for a stroll in London together? Hysteria would ensue. Now they are much older and obviously more experienced, so who knows what will happen after Harry Potter is over (I'm hoping for some MAJOR dirt from DH Part 1 promo, perhaps even a confirmation that they are, indeed, a couple!), but at the end of the day, I hope they stay in touch because they really do seem to be the best of friends and that makes me happy, . Haha, this is very long-winded, but I just thought I'd put in my two-cents...sorry, I tend to ramble.. but, basically, I agree with your friend, missygurl, Dan and Emma totally fancy each other and totally might date after Hp is over....bittersweet sentence right there. :/ | |||
