Gollum ate it. You have been Gollumed.

It's a sad day you get your first golluming, but everyone experiences it. If you don't it means Gollum likes you. Which is probably worse than actually being Gollumed.

And no I'm not on crack this has all been scientifically proven... Or Bloomifically proven at any rate.

I could read back, but I couldn't see it when I skimmed. So here's my first newbie question:

When is the follow up to Hot Fuss out? And what is it?

Many magazines say that it will be out in September, but we are still not sure. And we still have not found out what the new album name is. They have been leaving clues on their official website if you would like to check that out just to do a little research.

The Killers Official Website

Man, their website is really slow. I've been waiting ages for it to load! I wish I could see what you're talking about .

Yeah, it is kinda slow. I think you have to have a certain flash player installed in yuor computer. If you do or did get it to load, read the news and watch the flash of words(which says "Have you ever seen the lights?") and these are clues leading up to the album. Or so we think.

I have the right flash, but I'm on dialup so it hinders my ability to see cool stuff like band websites.

Oh. Well that sucks. I'm really sorry. I could fill in on some things for you.

Yeah...I have dial up...which is why I never go to their official site.

The site is cool, but I honestly think people are being overly obsessive with the "hidden clues" thing. There's one thing where there is a flash of the phrase "Have you seen he lights?" and then it goes away...I think that's a clue. But people are going on and on about a man that opens his mouth and a person that turns if you click your mouse this way...and that's just completely ridiculous.

Sometimes a web design is just that. A design. The new layout centers around Fellini's film 8 1/2 which I think is that the next album cover might look like. The little flashing "lights" phrase might have something to do with the album title...I don't know...it's all pure speculation at this point.

The two middle weeks of September are the ones we must keep our eyes on. The NME is reporting September 18 which I take it means the 19th for the US...and in Australia I think they're saying the 16th.

But one can never be too sure.

Nice having ya around Ben.

Hmm. I hope they don't try to be too "clever" with their sneaky clues and things. The build up is going to be crazy. I try not to get too excited about things, but sometimes they don't make it easy. I'm sure it won't be a let down, but they have a lot to live up to after Hot Fuss.

Okay after a somewhat lengthy conversation with Shannon (you auror oldbies know who I mean) one thing lead to another, and out of sheer boredom I told her that I was listening to The Killers, (and having only three songs on my ipod) I figured this might be the place to ask

If you were trying to 'convert' someone or let someone whose not so experienced hear more of the Killers, what would you recommend? For those of you curious, I have "Mr. Brightside", "Smile Like You Mean It" and "Somebody Told Me" on the ipod. Fire away, I've got a 60 GB and I'm not scared

Hmm. This one's a toughie. I would have to reccomend Midnight Show and Jenny Was friend of Mine. Because they are part of this trilogy thing which is way way too long to explain. But they are great songs for beginning Killers fans.

I agree with Teddy. Definately "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine" and "Midnight Show." If you don't like the bassline to Jenny, then there is seriously something wrong with you.

What else...don't tell me you haven't heard "All These Things That I've Done" because I thought there was only like one person in Astabula, Ohio named Lulla Mae who hasn't heard that song. It's damn good.

I say you just download the whole frickin album it's that amazing.
