Ask Belle | The Killers FAQ Thread.

If you have any quetions abotu the boys, their music or anything else concering them, just ask here and our human encyclopedia will answer.

Salvaged from the old thread:

The Trilogy of songs goes in this order: Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf, Midnight Show, Jenny Was a Friend of Mine.

Because we don't know what happenes in Leave The Bourbon on the Shelf, we have to speculate the storyline...Jenny is this guy's girlfriend (we named him James at the Killers thread ).

Jenny and James ( ) were in love, but because she cheats on him, they break up. Jenny moves out, and something that Brandon said got this thing started where people began thinking that Jenny takes everything, but that James asks her to "Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf" (hence title name ).

Further speculation is that when James hears that Jenny is still with her lover, he gets really really drunk (on the bourbon ), and that he follows her out somewhere far away...on a dark and stormy night. Somewhere near the sea, and a promenade...

And they have a fight. The fight takes a nasty drunken turn, and James ends up choking her (when in concert, Brandon does a choking motion during Midnight Show when he sings "I took my baby's breath beneath the chandelier, of stars and atmosphere" ). We think this a spontaneous, drunken thing because in the song he says "There ain't no motive for this crime," which implies it wasn't premeditated. She dies of course, and he doesn't know what to do with the body. So he wraps her up in a blanket ("I've got a blanket and a backseat on my mind") and dumps her into the ocean! ("the crashing tide can't hide a guilty girl").

We think Jenny and James broke up BEFORE he kills her because he does say "Jenny was a FRIEND" of mine, and it makes sense with the Bourbon and the drunken random murder...

But the boys are teases and won't let us listen to the first song u til the next album, and only then will we know the full story for sure.

Midnight Show - James is avoiding the cops ("drive faster boy!" )

Jenny Was a Friend of Mine: - James is confessing his crime.

*We named the guy James becuase The Killers wanted to make a movie/video of sorts, and have the killer guy be James Spader. And Jenny and James has a lovely alliteration to it...don't you think?

I hope this explanation was helpful!

I'm not a human encyclopedia.

I don't know everything...like...I don't know what size pants Brandon wears or anything crazy like that. But I do know lots. And not only I, but other people here as well, so ask, and whether I answer or someone else answers, that's cool!

And I'm not infallible like the pope.

(Psst. Robyn knows a lot too so bugger her as well.)

That is all for now. And I really need to edit the Murder Trilogy thing because random people would not understand who "James" is as he is a figment of our imagination...

Well, from personal experience, I'd say he is about 28". But I really wasn't concentrating on his pants.

Yeah, we call them pancakes!

Since it's going in a fic...

Dave seems like a chocolate kind of guy. He likes chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream on top.

OMG! I have no idea...you better ask Belle. My guess is Ronnie pours the batter on Dave, licks it suggestively and it drips into the pan. Eww, hahaha!

Ronnie would make an insane amount of food because he eats all the time. (At least, he does in my little brain.) Ronnie is very Paula's Home Cooking...

Brandon, a 28? Really? Hmm...he is pretty small. But he's a tall! (I'm 5'5, so he's tall in my midget world.)

Hehe, Belle is a midget! sorry...
