ooh, before I forget, I watched House vs God last night. While I was watching it, my brother said something which will please Silvia. There was a scene with Wilson, and my brother said....

I loved Cameron's comment to House about being stimulated. I think an advantage to Cameron not working for House is that it helped her to find her strength on her own and now she can relate to House on a much more equal level. The adoring crush on House was fun for a while, but I prefer the mature rapport they have going now. Cameron now gives as good as she gets. I also love how she can still make him stop and stare at her in utter fascination (even if it is drug induced).

As for the pole dance-it wasn't my favorite part of the ep, but I'm not that worried about it. If anything, I think it demonstrates the differences between Huddy and House/Cameron. House respects Cuddy for her mind-as evidenced by him imagining her offering her medical expertise. And he has sexual fantasies about her. OK. Let's face it-Cuddy is a very attractive woman with a slamming bod and House is a red-blooded male. It's totally natural that he would have fantasies about her. Hell, he probably has fantasies about some of the more attractive nurses.

Now, compare that with how he envisioned Cameron and their interaction in "No Reason." First of all, he imagines that she is the first one he sees when he "wakes up" and that she has been waiting by his bedside for a while, thus showing that he sees her as a steadfast presence in his life. Second, he creates a scenario of sexual tension between them, simply from the act of her placing her hands on him to stop him, signifying an attraction much deeper than a peep show. Third-the robot sex. In this scene, House is doing much more than imagining Cameron as a sexual object-he is seducing her. This act is much more intimate than simply watching someone strip. I think he has Cuddy strip because, in most strip joints, it's look but don't touch. He would like to see her naked, but that's as far as it goes. He has no interest in a relationship with her or even wanting to ruin their friendship. But with Cameron, he is physically attracted to her and much more. As with the robot, he wants not only to seduce her but to explore her, both physically and emotionally.

This is why the pole dance doesn't worry me, because when you compare the notes, really, they don't compare at all.

And I thinkthey used the same music from No Reason when the bus was crashing and it still gives me goosebumps.

Well said! There is so much more beyond the surface when it comes to this particular ship, I love the fact that it's not just a matter of physical attraction. There are many layers of meaning that, personally speaking, keep you interested and wanting to know more.

I'll post my thoughts on the episode later tonight ~ when I come home from uni and actually have time to properly watch it.

Hmm...maybe I should watch it a second time. I think it was interested that the metal thing went though her right leg. House's bad leg is the right one.
