Oh I think DS would get on his knees and kiss her feet if it would get her to come back, he's well aware of her worth to the show and said he was as shocked as anyone when he found out she wouldn't be returning. But I think he'd have to come up with an exceptionally good plotline for Cuddy before she'd be convinced.

Which means that if she does come back, not only will there be more Cuddy on screen but GREAT Cuddy on screen
 Did they know Lisa was leaving BEFORE the season seven finale? How soon did they know? __________________

It came out that she was leaving just a week before the S7 finale aired on TV, so obviously there was no time to alter anything.

Nope, if the writers had time to change anything they would have. DS wouldnt have wanted her character to have no conclusion. It was a surprise to them aswell

That's one thing I do believe, the writing staff and producers seemed as genuinely shocked by her leaving as we all were. They had no idea. S8 without Cuddy was definitely NOT in DS's plans.
