So, as I mentioned earlier on MSN, I watched Meaning last night. It was good to see an episode with more depth to it, and of course some lovely HCam moments.

I love her reaction when she first sees him back, she looks elated, so pleased to see him. I enjoyed the playful flirty banter, which is a slight foreshadow to what we have had this season.

also, loved the scene when he asks her out. they way he looks at her there

and when she walked away from that scene, he looks her up and down

yes, I also really enjoy meaning. I absolutely love that opening sequence with House running. He just looks so honestly happy

we tend to get more of the sarcastic happy. There are only a few times we get to see that.
Also how playful he is throughout the episode.. But of course--as we come to find out later--the leg isn't the only reason for his misery..

It was also a little tragic I believe. You know what I mean right?

I think he asked her out because of the hallucination he had in No Reason, but also had a cover for it, when she said no. Making out if he was testing his theory about her that she only likes him because he is damaged.
I liked it, that he still can't figure her out, but she understands him, gets him

but I did love they way he asks her out...such a Housian way to do that.
"do you want to get a drink? you drink, I drink..we could even do it at the same table. you eat? we could do that too?"

, and yes she saw through it. The way she says something like "you are not well" hehe.

I think the Hallucination definitely played a job

he's become more aware of his feelings for her, and he's desirous to change something--have more meaning in his life, as we see in this episode.

But at the same time (this is what I meant by tragic) I think he's still a little unsure about Cameron's love for him. So he wants to tread very carefully here as he doesn't want to get hurt. So he asks her out in this way, because he really does want to ask her out, but also because he wants to know how she will react to this while he's physically healthy. Cameron says no. He assumes it's because of the leg and I believe is reassured that the reason for her love is to fix him--charity, the whole same deal all over again..

That's why I believe it to be a bit tragic... Then there's all the things going on in Cameron's head as this goes on.. Lots of complicated emotions and motives and hidden motives all going on at once.

But of course that's what I love about this ship

I just love this look from The Right Stuff. it says so much with that one look...a sense of longing...being enchanted by her (as my brother says

)...being curious as to why she is in the ER....

I love Hugh Laurie...he is so great in capturing the emotion in those looks, very meaningful, even though the shot itself is brief

It shows us the amazing buildup of this ship. All of the layers, and all of the years of them figuring out each other, and subtly coming closer and closer.

I think it is more difficult to do that in the scenes they've had this season, apart from the one in the Right Stuff. So, well done to Hugh and Jen. As Jen has said previously, the chemistry comes natural to them.
