Green Day answered some more questions at the Idiot Club via video. One of the questions asked was about MySpace accounts. They said that ALL the profiles on MySpace that claim to be them are FAKE. They said they don't have time for MySpace. I thought you all might want to know in case anyone was being fooled by stupid posers pretending to be Green Day.

I think that there is an official myspace page, but its handled by a friend of theres so people can put music from them on their pages nd get the newest info.

I think they meant people pretending to BE them... but there is a page run by someone who updates their music and news. Maybe its not official but when you type myspace.com/greenday its their page and I dont think the person is pretending to be them...

2 updates of news:

There is a new DVD out called "Green Day's Kerplunk" that claims to be a "critical review of Green Day" that "deals frankly with the failures as well as the successes of the band" and is the "most unforgiving documentary yet recorded."

and

It seems Brandon Flowers of 'The Killers' isn't too happy about Green Day and "what he sees as their calculated Anti-Americanism".

I read that a few days back at GDA I think. WHY does every say they are ANTI-AMERICAN? Thats not what Green Day are saying!! GOSH!!!

I know what page you are talking about at myspace. I don't know why they wouldn't have mentioned that page while they were talking about the myspace situation though...

I would post the Q and A's, but they did it via video so I can't.

no its ok... but I really think when they were referring to the pages they were talking about the ones where people were claiming to actually be them. They dont have time to update the page, but I do believe that there is a myspace for green day, maybe not official but definitely for them since all other artists have one too.

And it really bothers me when artists or anyone in general says that Green Day is anti- american. Like they said millions of times in concert, on stage, and in interviews, they are not anti-american theyre anti-war. I love the Killers dearly but gotta go against them in this one and stand behind my band

I am the same way. It really bothers me too. Being anti-war and anti-American are two completely different things. People don't seem to get that.
