But it's supposed to be ackward. Young love/crushes ... Harry is the reserved type so he's not a "flirt expert". I recall, one of Dan's early H/G comments is that it's ackward and sweet. And that's what DYates wants in the scene, and both Dan/Bonnie delivered.

^ Exactly. It's suppose to be ackward and sweet. Harry has a thing for his best friend's little sister. Of course it's going to be a bit ackward. Plus it doesn't help she's not exactly single at the moment he developes feelings for her so yeah definitely ackward.

Great point. IT's the awkward bits that MAKES it so great. It's so real. Harry's just learning how to flirt and be flirted with! Dan and Bonnie at least understand this so I feel very relieved they're not overplaying it.

Going by the scenes they did it just right. Ackward, but sweet and a bit flirtiness in there. Dan and Bonnie pulled it off perfectly.

Yup, and two test screeners highlighted that Dan and Bonnie both played the "awkward first love crushing" really well. It's sort of the point, considering Harry's a nervous wreck because he's falling for his best friend's sister. Harry's new found attraction is extremely difficult for him to deal with. He wants to be with her, but he's worried about Ron and she's also with Dean.
