Nice to have you back Lindsay. Our summer hasn't even started yet. It's barely felt like spring here.

I'm looking at splurging about $300 on a bridesmaid dress although I hate all the styles that I've seen so far at the shops. I may have to expand the spectrum a little bit and look elsewhere other than formal bridal shops. Plus they're already saying that they'd have to put a rush order on it since the wedding less than 14 weeks away. That's crazy!

when's the wedding? buy a bridesmaid dress that you think you can still wear on other occasions so you won't go over the budget. otherwise splurge and wear once.

July 15th.

I went out again today and found a dress that I think will work. I have a week to sit on it and see if I and the bride is happy with it. In the store it looked perfect but I bring it home and it's just a smidgen off the colour. It's more mauve than liliac which is what she wants. But since I'm the only bridesmaid I don't have to match anyone. And besides sometimes liliacs have a pinky tint to them. It did match the ribbon on the invitation though. I just hope my friend will like it. I'd hate having to return the dress and keep looking. This is so hard and definately not as much fun as I thought it would be.

Good news is I only paid $220 for it (including taxes).

That's good that at least you don't have to match anyone else but as long as you like it.

good for you! but aren't bridesmaids supposed to have like the same color theme as the wedding? i didn't spend a single cent when i was a bridesmaid for my friend's wedding because she took charge of having a fashion designer sew all of the bridesmaids dresses and entourage.

All she said was that it had to be liliac. And it sort of is. She has little tiny liliac flowers sewn into her dress it's very subtle so colour matching exactly isn't a real issue. And I made sure my dress was close to the ribbon on her wedding invites that I created so we're still following the colour scheme.

Now my next big task is to co-ordinate the wedding shower.

That's good that it isn't hard to match the color scheme. Co-ordinating the wedding shower must be quite a lot of work.

Thanks. Ugh, now I'm getting real nervous about it. I won't know anyone there besides the bride and her mom. And I have run it?!

I'm hoping that since its my first time doing anything like this I'll have help and it's at her mom's house since my place is too small.

Anyway, I'm getting too worked up over it.

What did you think of the LOST ep Lindsay? Where you spoiled for the end or did you see it coming? I didn't. I was so shocked!
