High-School Reunions

Has anyone gone to thier highschool reunion? I obviously haven't, since I hadn't graduated yet (I'm only 15), but has anyone who watches this show gone to theirs? Was the popular girl fat? Was the nerd rich and handsome? Was the stud a taxi driver? Do tell, inquisitive minds want to know .

Ahh..well, I'm a sophmore, I'm not sure whether anyone who posts on FF (or at least the Reunion board) is actually old enough to have gone to their HS reunion.

It is funny ... I had mine last night. 10 years!!! That was really weird and surreal for me. Here we were all dancing together and I was like wow 10 years already. It makes you feel old but at the same time I am only 27 so I am still young. It was different for everyone. Some had careers, others families, etc. The only typical reunion thing you think will happen at a reunion was this nerd who turned out to be a hot guy. As a single girl, I would have taken him home but it feels weird at the same time because you remember that person in high school. I enjoyed talking to him a lot. I saw also some girls who were popular in high school, still being stuck up b****** and not talking to me and my friends. I am happy I went... I was not planning on going because high school was not my fave time but I am happy I did. Everybody was friendly and even though I feel I left high school yesterday, it really has been 10 years. We had a 5 years reunion and I went but it wasn't the same. We were all in school and all the same mostly so it didn't feel different from high school but last night it did. I think one of the reason I went is the show... I got curious to see everyone and how their lives turned out. Of course when you go there you have to be ready to answer the same questions over and over again LOL.

I can imagine, Dominique.

About my HS Reunion - I doubt I am going to go to mine. I didn't have many friends in HS. Plus, I hope I would be at a better place in my life. Give me a reason to show off. Maybe have a wife/fiancee, or be filthy rich.

Thanks for sharing that Dominique. Sounds like you had fun. It'd definetely be interesting seeing how everyone is different from when they were in high school.

I was the kind of girl in HS who talked to everyone so last night I did the same. Plus I have kept in touch with a lot of people from HS who are still my best friends so it is OK. Of course reunion are a place to show off but the best way to deal with it is to just twist your story. Like I am not where I thought I would be so I talked to the things I am proud of like my career as a psychologist and how I work with children. I also said how I am saving to buy a house for myself, etc. You play along with it and you show off like everyone else but I will say that the 10 years was less show off than the 5 years.

See whenever I go to my reunion I'm afraid people won't want to talk to me because right now in school I don't really talk to many people. I stick with my very small group of friends and that's about it.

I had my 5 years HSR last year, I remember I spent 3 hours saying the same thing over and over again cause the first thing people ask was "So what's new with you?!!" It was a lot of fun, some surprises as some people already had kids! The jerks were still jerks....and ugly The more quiet were really handsome!

Moonlight~Pixie - don't worry I was like you in HS, I always hang out with the same people, I was quiet, not the popular type but still I had a lot of fun at my reunion I went there with exactly the same people that I used to hang out and people were like "You guys still hang out together?!"

Sounds cool.

I doubt my school is having a 5-year reunion. I wouldn't go. But, a 10-year would be different.

I had my small group of friends and I was with them the most last night but since I was friendly with everyone, I said hi to everyone last night. Of course like I said I saw some stuck up B***** that did not say anything to me but I don't care.

I cannot be the only one out of HS who has been to a reunion on FF???? I wanna hear more stories because some of them can be really funny.

A old classmate last night was sure she had seen me on TV and she had told a lot of people that she had and I was like no, I was not LOL

I actually just decided to go to my five year HSR coming up in October. The school went all out, a big weekend kind of party down in Atlantic City (I'm outside of Philly). I'm quite nervous since I pretty much a loner in high school
