Sayid has been awesome this season (not that he wasn't in the past, but they gave him great material this year, finally), the only thing I'm still unsure about is his decision to tell the captain of the freighter about Michael's real identity. I hope it won't have bad consequences.

I hope so. Going into the summer hiatus with Sawyer having rocked the last episodes of S4 would sure improve my expectations about S5.

Have you seen the promo pics for the first part of the finale?

You stayed strong for a whole year where Sawyer didn't get any decent material, you can't give up just when things start getting interesting.

I'm kidding of course, I can see why your interest is fading after everything we have seen in this show.

Having to wait 9 months living on my hopes for the character and then seeing him treated so poorly by the writers for the first half of the season has
really made me cautious. I think I may even wait till the end of the season to watch James clips, that way I can watch them all at once and not get excited for a week and then disappointed again.

I understand. I had a lot of hopes about S4, and waiting week after week to see things improve, with the show never delivering, had taken a lot of what was left of my enjoyment away. I was also expecting the Sawyer storylines to make up for the screw up of my ship (the only thing I was pretty sure about was the bad treatment they would give to S&K).

I think what's helping me now is that I don't have expectations anymore, lol. I have to say that this helps now - The Shape Of Things To Come looked so good to me also because I was starving for any decent James scene, and dreading another board game session and nothing more.

I know I wouldn't resist waiting the end of May to watch all the episodes though, I can't even resist playing a sneak peek.

I have a history of getting involved in a show and then quitting completely. It happened with Lost , but I didn't think it would happen with James.

Sayid will probably have lots of scenes in the last episodes and he will be the awesome in every one.

I'm a "never or forever" kind of person - if I lost interest it's usually pretty soon (like half though the first season, or even after a few episodes), usually if I survive 3 seasons I'm going to hold on until the end, if I have at least a little interest left.
Basically, at this point they would kill Sawyer off to make me quit watching, but I don't know what the upcoming hiatus will do to my fandom life.

Sayid is awesome even when off screen.

I wish there was a way to involve all the characters in the story like they used to do in S1. Now it feels like one season they give material to A, B and C, and the next one to X, Y and Z. Unless your name is Jack or Ben.

They have too many characters and I'm sure next season will add a bunch more.

They have just added four, and 3 of them have been well received, and they also expanded Penelope and Charles Widmore's roles in S4. With only two season to tell their story, TPTB will put a stop to the new additions.
