I think he is.

It's not crazy. I think it's either only Miles' or a multi-centric with all the 3 new parachuted characters.

I was pretty convinced that the premiere featured FFs, if only because the season opener should have some meaty stuff to hook up the audience, now I don't know anymore, I'm so confused about it all.

If that Josh + car crash sighting is a FF (= Sawyer is alive) , I'll throw a party.

His attire makes me think of Jin working for Mr. Paik.

Then the Jack/Hurley scene reported by Ryan should be for the premiere, right?

I couldn't find the report about that scene to check the date, but I think that it could be a scene for the premiere. My guess is that they might have shot it a bit late because MF was busy with his movie.

Do you remember when we got that picture of the chairs with MF's and EM's names on them? It looked like it was a set in the jungle.

Just checked: September 25.
Is it possible that they mixed FFs with FBs in the premiere? I mean, technically everything is possible, but unless the FBs involve the new characters, wouldn't it be weird to see Hurley and Jack in the future, and 5 minutes later Sawyer and the Tampa job?

They were still shooting episode 3 then, and started shooting episode 4 on that day. It's not mentioned in the spoilers for Sayid's episode and I doubt it happens in Kate's so I still think it's for the season premiere but filmed so late because MF was busy.
Of course, I could be wrong.

Are you trying to fish some kind of reassurance about Sawyer out of me?

Thanks. It should be in episode 3, but it also wasn't mentioned in Brazilian spoiler.

From Dark's: Lost Rumours: The Season 4 Premiere Opening

Received the following just now from someone I know who got this info from a colleague of his. His friend claims he was speaking to one of the people involved in the Lost writing process. Sounds a but far-fetched and a bit too similar to the fake crash TV Report a while ago, but then again no one believed the spoilers about the Season 2 Premiere with a man called Desmond being in the Hatch

Quote:
Season 4 will begin with air traffic control speaking to the pilot of a plane that is in trouble. It will show both the plane and air traffic control in various shots. This is all done in a way that will make us believe it's NOT the Oceanic flight that Jack, Locke etc were on. Except it is. We'll see the plane crashing into the sea. We'll see the dead bodies of people we know. Then the "Lost" logo will come out of the screen.

I hate time travel. They have already set it up in the Desmond episodes , but I hate it.

The set looked L.A. so I doubt it's for episode 3 as well, don't know if it could fit in episode 4 though. Some people have speculated that Kate's trial could be an occasion to see other Losties.

It's a nice way to try stop you from convincing yourself that Sawyer is 100% a goner.
Remember my no extreme positions politic, lol.

The producers spent a lot of time in remarking how alternate futures were not an option on the show in the last podcast, and it wasn't too long ago, so no matter how much I distrust the writers, at the moment this rumors doesn't sound too conving to me.

ETA - Argh!! I totally forgot to send a question to Ausiello, I'm still in time though.
*begs for suggestions*

They say a lot of things so nothing will surprise me.

I have nothing. I'll try to think of a question and send it to him. It'll probably be death related.

That's true, but the rumor above sounds like a lot of speculations made about what Naomi said in S3.
Also, how would they keep things clear to the audience with a two realities scenario? And if all the passengers of Flight 815 are dead, how would they connect the two worlds? The easier way would be to have the Losties go back to the mainland and find out that everyone thinks of them as dead (so the two realities would met), but Kate's trial doesn't fit too well in such a scenario.
Soemthing like the "time bubbles" mentioned in those foilers about the outline of the next three seasons would make the mythology collapse on itself.

I'll ask about that too, but I don't even know how to put my question to him.
Are you going to ask about Sawyer directly? In that case I could send something more general.

If we do get to see the all the Losties we know dead on the plane, I think it would be more fitting if it happened at the end of episode one. They could tie it with the outside world in episode 2, using the parachuters (the freighters).
I'd love for all the time loop theories to be wrong, but I'm afraid we'll see more and more clues to supprt them on the show.

My question was very general so you can send something about Saywer.

But apart from rumors, what hints have we've seen so far on the show? Time travelling, yes (they even confirmed it as soon as the podcast for FBYE aired), but alternate realities..? The biggest clue is the title of episode 2 (I'm seeing the rumors as reliable, at the moment), but the title would fit with other scenarios, like Dharma setting up a fake wrecklage (another popular theory).
It's not a good sign about its reliability that we got the premiere opening scene rumor exactly one day after the 4x02 title info.
And as you said, at the end of the episode that scene would really send us WTF (first we see Hurley, Jack... then, bam, they should be "dead") but how can you start the episode with such a flash, and then move maybe to an Hurley FF?
Also, Jorge has labelled episode 4x07 as the biggest WTF moment he has filmed at date, if they introduced something like that in the premiere, what could top such a thing in weirdness?

ETA - sent 2 questions to A.
Question: Halloween is tomorrow, right? *is losing the perception of time and space*
Question #2: several video and audio clips on Dark's aren't working anymore, is he aware of that, and will he replace them?
Random: if I'll survive the BIG Spoiler Update, I'll go back to check the S3 podcasts.

I hope you turn out to be right about the time loops thing. That's all I have to say.

Haven't been there in a while so I don't know what videos you're talking about. I remember that he had some problems with videos uploaded on Dailymotion.

For instance the precious radio interview with Nestor, or the ABC commissary. The last one was on YouTube so I just changed the link, but other stuff is gone for good, I'm afraid.

Because from what I can remember of those podcasts, I think than more than one rumor guy we've gotten information from has mentioned things said in them. I'm curious to know how much "original" stuff is in their rumors, taking away what was hinted to by the producers in those audio clips.

You still think the death will happen on episode 5-6? I feel like I won't be ok until I know Sawyer is on set filming episode 9.

So, your listening to some of the podcasts actually paid off. I didn't know that some of the rumours were inspired by them.

Yes, I still think the death will happen before ep 7.
The strike seems very probable (it might start any day now) so we'll have to see where that leaves Lost. Who knows how many episode they have written so far.
