I'm inclined to say Jack. While Hurley is loved by everyone, he's not the favourite character of many people. If he died, many people would be sad or angry, but I doubt they'd stop watching.
I haven't liked Jack since the pilot because he was simply too boring for me, but I didn't vote against him on this poll. I don't consider Aaron (or Smokey) to be a character. That said, I'll certainly vote for any of the remaining characters over him because I like them better. Except for Ben, whose popularity hasn't affected me.
I'd like to see Jack vs Sayid , maybe even Kate vs Ben.

Well, there is Nikki. Compared to her, he comes out almost as a nice character. He was just dumb.

I admit I voted for Aaron in the match. I wish I could tame my hate but after the S3 finale it knows no bound.

I agree that Jack would beat Hurley. Although I still have no clue aboput Jack's connection with the mythology, he's not even in the infamous "Jacob's list". Most likely he has divine powers, but other than that...

He's the hero, a great man or so the recaps tell us.

I think Kate might be crushed by any of the characters that are left.
The one I'm most curious about in this round is Sayid. I really have no idea how well or badly he might do.

LOL! Usually, when I'm really torn about a decision between two characters/things I like almost equally, I check the results first and then give my votes to the one who is doing worse in the poll, as a way to "balance" things (only in a theoric way, of course).

You know what's really pathetic? The fact that I'm almost sad that Dark will be out of town for a couple of days and the character polls will take a mini-hiatus, because they were the only new thing we can count on to discuss every day.

I don't think she is/was a X-Files/David fan, because she took care of many pilot reviews, not just Californication, along with another member of SpoilerFix. In her journal's interests and userpics there is nothing about Hank Moody or Mulder. It's freezing here too, but it only rained for a couple of hours two days ago. I like rain, I find it "energizing", what I hate is this cloudy sky that looks just... sad.
