I'm not so sure about that. I think Kate may think Sawyer is dead. Or at least they will never see each other again. That's why she takes Jackass up on his offer. And why she's doing that "something" for Sawyer with such emotion.

They obviously go back to Craphole Island. And she has kicked Jacko/Wayne to the curb before they get to that point. There is no other logical event to happen out of all of this but the return of skate.

ETA - Deej, but it looks like Kate is the last person who wants to go back among the O6. She's fighting hard to stay put with her "son" and have anormal life in LA. Even after things go to hell with Jack. I can't see Jack saying "he chose to stay" if they think Sawyer is dead, but maybe I'm wrong.

She already knows he's "staying" days before they leave, but many things can happen during that time. Attack, the island blows up, she see Sawyer in a grave predicament. Any of these could make her think he could be dead by the time she leaves. Jack's "he chose to stay" is like everything else, very ambiguous. It's out of context. He could be meaning "he chose to stay... and look what happened to him." So if she thinks he's dead it makes perfect sense for Kate to want to move on (as we've seen). And why she seemed to be so choked up about what she wanted to do for Sawyer. If she knew he was still alive it doesn't make that much sense that she would be so emotional about doing whatever it is for Sawyer. And it would make logical sense that that is the reason she's not keen on going back. She doesn't believe there's anything to go back for.

I have to go due to people in my family waking up at dawn (*rolleyes*). I hate my timezone. Also if I told anyone I'm up to watch 30 seconds of a promo I can watch tomorrow morning, they would laugh at me, at best. And I can't blame them.

), I don't know, you could be right, but in addition to Jack's comment we have other hints, like Abbadon asking Hurley "they're still alive, aren't they?" in the first episode of this season, and Charlie's "they need you" line - although one could object that was a reference to Hurley having to help the other O6, not the Losties left behind.

Honestly, I think I've reached the point where I really couldn't care less if and when Sawyer and Kate reunite or why she's with Jack, or if Sawyer has gone for the gay route and has had an affair with Jin in the meanwhile, lol.

Yesterday night episode was so pathetic and cringeworthy, it all felt rushed and put there to make the shipper break their brain over this. The only thing that saved it in my eyes was the possible Clementine reference.
I'll wait to see the season finale to get an idea of where things stand, but I'm sick of the whole thing.
And the marriage proposal was a low bow, seriously.

Now, can someone tell me why I was expecting to see my pretty Richard in the promo and I have to watch that freak of Horace Goodspeed?

I don't know. Miles and Aaron are back at the beach in the 4x12 promo pics - so unless those pics are for the wrong episode once again, it would make sense to see them showing Miles and Sawyer deciding what to do (maybe Sawyer send him back with Aaron). Still, with the freighter & Jacob craziness of next week, i don't know where to place such a scene.

The cast and their stand-ins took their direction on shore, then made their way into the ocean to film their scene. It was relatively simple in the narrative sense, but working on the water always makes things exponentially more complicated. Crewmembers had to keep a handle on a surfboard-riding director, handheld cameras and cameramen buffeted by the surf, a sound boat rocking on the waves, and keeping props from floating away. The primary prop? A large, octagonal life raft.

Action is called, and the stars get wet. Jorge Garcia, Yunjun Kim, Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Naveen Andrews and Josh Holloway swim toward the raft through some debris. In several takes, Hurley — clutching a doll that’s most likely playing Aaron — helps pull Kate, Sun, and Sayid aboard. But Jack and Sawyer take a little longer to reach them. And Sawyer is holding someone who’s not moving.

Who is in trouble? Exactly how did the Oceanic Six (plus one) end up in the water? Where are they? And how do they get from here to Hawaii? The answers will come soon enough!
