I see the same behaviour on both sides too.

For example some die hard Sawyer haters suddenly started saying he's actually bearable with Claire.
I had a deja-vu - Skaters thinking Jack was bearable with Juliet.
Of course it also happens that the other man becomes more likeable when Kate is actually with the one you prefer.

Skaters kept saying the triangle ended Sawyer was the one after "I Do".
Jaters are doing the same thing after "SNBH" and say Jack is Kate's choice.

What I really don't get is this attempt to convince the other side your view is the right one. Why would I care if Jaters think Skate is dead or not and why would I want to prove them otherwise? Let them be.

I also don't like seeing Skaters spend more time discussing Jate than Skate.
They are actually helping TPTB see the flaws and fix them.

Talk about what you like and hate about the way your ship is written.

What I kind of love the most is the backtracking. Both sides profess to be sick of the triangle when things are in their favor, saying the situation changes and everyone wants to kill D&C. Also, I don't understand all the comments saying Katwe "had" to "try Jack". Wot? That's the same stuff said by the people who thought Kate had to be with Sawyer to kill her attraction/lust for him.

I never go to check what a shipper of the other side says about my couple, because I can imagine it. Just like my opinions are predictable to a J/K fan and they won't change mine. It's as simple as that. That way I don't get bothered to begin with, say what's my opinion and I'm done.

Otherwise the triangle will continue and they'll rub it on the other's side nose. It's like - don't enjoy too much jaters/Skaters because if you think it's over, you're kidding yourself.

Again - why would you want to do that. Let them enjoy their moment.

I've seen some decent debate, but usually those threads consist of posts in which everyone tries to prove why the other ship is wrong.

BTW For some reason I think Darlton get most of their feedback on the Fuselage, which is like the Lost forum where the majority are Jack fans and prefer jate.

BTW, sorry for how illogically worded was the reply above, I think I screwed up something deleting part of what I was trying to say, err.

Take the S3 finale: shipper wise? It sucked. They threw a bone to every side, but everyone thought they got the most meaningful stuff and overlooked the rest.
Now, after a year, people are going back and criticizing those scenes.

I honestly think it sucked for Skate. A two minute scene after episodes of neglect.
It was like we practically sent a message to Darlton - keep throwing a bone or two to us and we'll be happy and grateful.
Why would they make an effort in writing more Skate scenes, in making them better if their fans seem to be happy with almost nothing.

I think we have the same situation right now.
Skaters keep posting about Sawyer and Kate as if they are still together. They refuse to even consider the possibility that they might be over. So they post about Skate not being dead when someone even suggets otherwise.

Why?

If even Skate fans think Skate is over, then Darlton might have to do something to convince you otherwise.
If you're happy with no Skate scenes, and think that Kate keeping a promise for Sawyer means she loves him even though she said it had nothing to do with her and Jack, then I guess Darlton are happy too. They did nothing but Skaters are still hanging on.

Ever since "I Do" aired my biggest wish has been the end of the triangle, no matter who the choice be.

Right now they are having a debate about what Darlton said about the numbers. Some are disappointed.

My biggest beefs with Skaters lately?

Why is it canon and a spoiler when TPTB say things in the media like "Skate is not over by a long shot" and "there will be a bounty of romantic scenes for both ships", but when they say things like "Kate pingpongs" and "the triangle will continue" it's nothing but hype to promote the show?? Is what they say only worth a damn when it is good for Skate and everything else that is bad is only hype and doesn't mean nothing?

Also, EVERY SINGLE SKATER said that after TTLG and even before, that Jack and Kate would NEVER be intimate together, but now that we have seen it, those same people are saying "She was always going to be with both guys because that is how a triangle works."

Right. Kate doesn't have romantic feelings for Jack and Sawyer was an ass to suggest otherwise.

I think the writers showed us Jate sex (though implied) just to keep quite some pretty vocal Skaters who insisted on Luke and Leia type of thing for Jate. It was like - wake up guys, this is a freaking triangle. Don't be delusional.

As for the media stuff, I've noticed it too. I don't remember when was the last time Darlton said something I liked about the triangle.

I'm fine with people who are genuinely satisfied with how the situation is, I can disagree with them but we have different opinions/expectations and that's it. What I don't get is sayid that everything is fine and dandy without believing it, because you think you have the upper hand at the moment, or will have it soon. What do you achieve with that?

I don't feel like say Thanks if they throw me a bone here and there while I was expecting a lot more/different stuff.

Jessica, more or less it all goes back to the same problem: you try to make your opinions fit the circumstances, so you don't show any "weakness" or fear, or defeat to the other side, even if you have to contradict yourself.

From the reports we have, it seems Hurley, Kate and Jack should have "centric" flashes, but I hope each of the O6 will get their part. I'm still confused about the Sun/Ben scene.
Unless Kate(+ Aaron) and Hurley are only "subplots" of a gigantic Jack FF. But he has gotten an episode two weeks ago, it can't be.

P.S. We need an idea for the next title and graphics.
