From Dark's - Spoilers: Episode 4.11 - More Casting Info

I really think episode 11 is Ben's and those latest rumours are now looking even more plausible.
It does seem 4x11 is Ben centric. I'm already so excited.

Back to those spoilers and that last scene which still doesn't convince me lol - Jack leaves sat next to Kate and Aaron on the elicopter and says that awesome line *insert eye-rolling and yawn*... then while he's still in his "normal", not-drugged and desperate phase, freaks out at the idea to see the kid? Why?

Unless I see the word "Sawyer" in a spoiler, i never get excited.

It's pretty sad that we'll get to find out how they got off and who the person in the coffin is a whole year after those questions were introduced. IMO They should've started the season where season 3 left off. It feels like season 4 will be just a big empty walk in which we got a few answers but lost touch with the characters.
Word. No character development, only a bunch of WTF moments here and there. And where is all the action and answers and progression, the "no filler" episodes they promised us?

I also picked mostly negative choices.
I think I may have voted for Miles. Oops.

But most people think it's Locke's. One of the reasons being the fact that Ben didn't have a foster Mum.

It turned out - what was filler to them, was the story for me.

The truth hurts, don't it.

So y'all decided it's a Ben-centric instead of Locke? Either way, I'm not interested. And they keep bringing up babies! I abhor that element of Lost. Women on this show mean nothing more than baby makers. That's how it feels to me, anyway.

I had already forgotten the whole casting of the green-eyed kids. You're right.
Of course I would rather see a Locke episode than a Ben one, but right now I'm totally lost about what a FB in John childhood could be about, it made more sense to close the whole Annie thing with Ben.

Ben still makes more sense to me than Locke.
Women on Lost - mothers or love interests.

So you didn't spend many, many sleepless nights imagining what Ben's love life has been like?

It does seem like they can't imagine a woman without a baby storyline. I bet shannon would've had one too if she lived longer.

That's because those people love those. Weren't all the faults of the S3 finale overlooked because OMG the FF was the coolest thing evah?

It's either Ben or Locke, right? All the other options don't fit in the casting info, or characters like Charlotte and Daniel may still in the run?

You know what's very sad?
I'm starting to miss the days when my only source of annoyance was Jack being involved in *all* the storylines. Now he is still inserted in every episode or so by default, but the rest of the screentime goes to Ben. Jack was there since day 1, he's listed as the main character, so I was resigned. But this Ben love is really getting on my nerves, considering his story wasn't even in the plans.

I think all the praise for the season three finale twist is to be blamed for the insane amount of Gotcha! moments so far. No wonder I wasn't on the love train. Unlike all the others, Jack's FF had to do with his character development.
These writers really have no sense of measure - the "shocking" twists, Ben, Sawyer's nicknames, meta jokes... All overused because some people liked them.

If there's only one episode left, I cannot see them giving it to newbies. Ben is their favourite toy right now and from what I see, they lost interest in Locke back in season two.

I know. Jack overatking the show would make more sense than Ben doing it. In a day or two we'll start saying we miss Jack. Even he isn't acting like himself anymore.

Excellent! That'll do wonders for the ratings.

I wonder where ABC gets the viewers' feedback. Hopefully they don't rely exclusively on online panels.

But the fanboys should be angry. Benjamin Lines is a living proof of the fact the whole "We have had a plan since day 1" argument is BS.

That's so, so true. Soemthing gets a good response? They'll repeat it so many times they'll turn the thing into ridiculous. Unfortunately, the critics loved the same things the fanboys liked - the praise of the finale cancelled all the mistakes they should've rewatched and learnt from from the writers' mind.
Basically, it gave them the proof they had been in the right all along: give people a WTF moment and they'll love everything you shove down their throats.

True, but still... the casting info looks weird (like the green eyes thing).
Is there the chance part of it is fake, leaked from TPTB on purpose?

I think it's genetically impossible for me to miss Jack , but it's true that even him has gotten less screentime and importance due to the Ben love. And we know they'll never get rid of Jack or resize his role like they did somehow with Locke, so we're screwed twice.

Speaking of which, when you voted in the polls, how many people it said had already casted their votes? When I did it it was 85.

That's why the ratings decline probably doesn't worry them. Right noe they are thinking about the WTF moment for this season's finale, which will once again, wipe away all other problems.

I think 97. I thought they had more participants.

Rumours: Nestor Carbonell returns to Hawaii

Pretty sure this is 100% truthful but until I can get another confirmation I'll post it in rumours.

Quote:
Who could have possibly been on the airplane I was on heading for Hawaii yesterday? I would have never noticed except the flight attendants made a big deal out of it. We were both up in first class but he was in the very fist row with all the legroom and he had his privacy. This he I speak of is of course Nestor Carbonell, a.k.a. Richard Alpert. As he departed the airplane with his wife/girlfriend, I asked him if he was filming Lost again. He and his wife smiled and they said he couldn't say anything. He said that he wasn't in Hawaii for pleasure and that I should "keep an eye out for him on Thursday nights". So he basically spelled it out for me without saying anything.

He was picked up by a driver's service and taken to his hotel.

Did Darlton officially confirm Nestor would be back or were those only rumours?

This is beyond me. How can you forget all the rest because of 1 good (?) idea?
I loved The Bring, that doesn't mean I'm ok with Sawyer playing ping-pong for 6 episodes or so before that.

Thanks! The maximum numbers of partecipants in a live sessions is 200, but I don't know how those polls exactly work.

I remember the return of Richard was a confirmed spoiler, it was printed on TV Guide as well, but right now I can't pinpoint exactly what was said.

I don't get it either, but it seems like we're a minority in the Lost fandom.

Is it similar to posting on forums because I could remain silent for the most part.

So, he should be filming episode 10. Maybe we'll finally get to see the Temple.

They're basically live chats. The moderator submit a topic of discussion, and you post your opinion and/or interact with the other members there in the chat. Most of the times, the topic of discussion involves the topic of the polls - every 5-10 minutes the screen shows you a poll, you have a certain amount of seconds to vote, then tyhe screen goes back to the live chat mode and you're asked to motivate your answer in the chat. It doesn't last a lot, I think every session is 40-45 minutes long.

What I don't totally get: those kids Josh was seen filming with should be with the remaining Others, and the remaining Others should be with Richard, so that sighting should belong to episode 10 even if they were still filming episode 9 according to the dates given to us by Ryan and DocArzt. I don't know what point I'm trying to make. Will they mirror Sawyer with the kids and Kate with Aaron if ep. 10 is Kate-centric?

Now I'm thinking the Richard printed spoiler could come from EW... but still, I'm sure it exists, and it said he would be at least in 1 episode.

Spoilers: Exploding Barracks - Filming Update

Thanks to DarkUFO reader Matthew for sending in this filming report which ties in with our recent report regarding the Barracks.

Quote:
I'm a Lost fan currently living on Maui, and yesterday, Wednesday, my girlfriend and I were visiting her uncle on Oahu. We were driving around, looking for past Lost filming locations, and happened upon where they were currently filming.

So I'm sure you already know this, and it isn't particularly helpful, but on Wednesday, from at least 10am till noon, there was filming at Dillingham Lodge. Or should I say, all the traffic was going in and out of the Dillingham estate through the entrance/exit with the "Lodge" sign overhead. We drove by it a couple of times, and once stopped to ask the big security dude what was going on. He said that they were filming Lost there, but that of course we couldn't go on the property.

And while certainly not any new news, we heard from a YMCA Camp Erdman staffer that last week they had filmed there. He told us an interesting story of how the production crew built a new barracks/house just so they could blow it up. He said the first explosion wasn't big enough, so they did it over again, finally getting the explosion they wanted. One part of the camp certainly had the ashes all over the ground to prove it!

Source: Matthew@DarkUFO
Nothing new.

So it's similar to the poll but other people get to see what you think and discuss with you.

I understand what you're saying, but I also don't get why Richard appears only in episode 10 and not in episode 9 with all the kids. Maybe Nestor couldn't make it to Hawaii before or maybe Richard had some other things to do/check.

You can just vote in the polls and don't comment, I guess, the polls there are exactly the same of the poll you voted in yesterday, so you see how many votes have been casted up to when you submit yours, but not which members of the chat voted for what.

I think you're right and Richard could pop up later on.
Could the fact Nestor was with his gf/wife mean he'll stay in Hawaii for a while, more than the filming of just one episode, anyway? I'm probabkly reading too much into this though, Yessica for instance follows Josh everywhere, and being Richard a guest start, it's not like his family his used to Hawaii, so she may want to grab the chance to visit the island.

Richard and the kids. So far the second part of the season looks less sucky than the first.
