Scene #9: Kate has some lovey dovey banter with Sawyer and goes over to his Otherville house. Sawyer is on to Kate's charm and bluntly tells her to just tell him what she really wants. Kate then says she wants to talk to Miles. She wants to ask him if he and the freighters know who she is, a fugitive, and if they are still looking for her back home. And to do this she needs to get to Ben who is held prisoner in the basement of Locke's Otherville house. Sawyer seems to understand and agrees to help her.

Scene #10: Sawyer shows up at Locke's house, enters, and after taking a while to get to it, informs Locke that he is suspicious of Kate. He tells Locke Kate approached him and wanted him to help her break Miles out of the boathouse. Locke says how does she knows he's in the boathouse? Sawyer plays dumb. Locke then suggests they go move him immediately until Kate proves she can be trusted. And as soon as we see them leave, Kate breaks in with a tied up Miles in tow. Sawyer just conned Locke - wooo whooo!

Scene #11: [After the Ben/Miles encounter] Just then Locke and Sawyer arrive and Locke is very angry. He takes Miles, Sawyer gives her a look, like an "I tried" kind of look.

Scene #14: Kate goes over to Sawyer house to tell him the news. Sawyer discovers a box of Dharma wine. Pours himself a glass, and pours one for Kate. Kate declines it. Hmmm I wonder why she would do that? Kate and Sawyer have this conversation and she ends up taking off his shirt and kissing him. They wake up in bed the next morning. Then Kate wakes up and acts funny. She is thinking about her future and her life. Sawyer tries to make the moves on Kate and Kate says no. Sawyer then says oh this is about the pregnancy thing isn't it. Kate says no. Then Sawyer says yeah right. Then Kate says she knows she's not pregnant. Then Sawyer says "Thank God". This makes Kate mad. Then her and Sawyer get into a big argument about them, their lives, and futures. Kate is about to storm out and Sawyer says "Yeah, run back to Jack, keep playing us against each other, because you can't make up your mind." Or something to that effect. Then Kate slaps Sawyer hard in the face. They have broken up.

Yes, Sawyer's going to be killed off in episode six, and from what I understand that will be the show's last-ever mention of the character. Audiences just never warmed up to him, and the writers realized it was best to simply give his off-putting storyline to a swift, clear-cut end. (I'm kidding. Seriously now, with all the stressing going on at tvdiva@eonline.com, I worry that you guys are all gonna give yourselves aneurysms. I promise you, if Sawyer were to eventually get killed off, which I consider unlikely in the extreme, the show would at least do it Nate Fisher style—that guy is gonna be around until the end in one way or another.)

In honor of what is no doubt our first-ever question from Réunion Island—11,000 miles away, somewhere near Mauritius and Madagascar in the Indian Ocean!—I can tell you that I used to think it was pretty unlikely, but based on what I now know about season four it's seeming somewhat more probable. That's honestly just a guess/hunch, but I'd put some money (at least a nickel) on it. Anyone care to counter-wager? Propose a baby name?

From TourniquetMan: "They are here right now as I type this, in my town shooting a scene. Whitmore Village in Wahiawa, There seems to be a lot of activity near down a path leading to a stream area.
They were asking for kids in tattered clothing as extras, Josh Halloway was sighted."

From HaleiwaDiva: I saw them filming in Whitmore Village yersterday too,TourniquetMan. They were right behind the baseball field. It looked like they might have been filming in a house right there. I didn't see anyone outside, just the big white trailers and the usual signs.

I live in Kalihi, Hawaii. Yesterday, LOST was filming on N King Street by the Discount Store and Tamashiro Market, for those that live in Hawaii.
I was able to spot Josh Halloway (Sawyer). So I'm assuming a Sawyer flashback. OR maybe a flash-forward??
The scene involved a car being chased by two police cars, leading to the first car to jump a ramp and crash.
That's all I was able to see.

The Odi replies to the Turkish rumors asking his source
- Sawyer has NOT filmed a FF and the FFs are being kept very secretive with a very small crew.
- The death will be a MAIN character that is a fan favorite and a male character, plus it will occur on island most likely by mid-season. It will be likely one of the four: Sawyer, Hurley, Sayid or Jin.

Can you blame Sawyer for wanting to beat Ben up? He won't kill him... but no matter how good Ben's intentions are (and we don't know yet), he isn't a sweet innocent paying for his heroic actions. I love Locke but I wouldn't fault Sawyer if he used to vent some anger on him as well, all things considered. I don't even want Sawyer to really trust or bond too much with Locke, although I value his character deeply.

Hmm, I hate FF sometimes. It was acting all weird for me and after I came here last night on my Lost high to gush about the ep...it wouldn´t let me post

What I wanted to say...about pink ...I know what you mean Fran bit pink is the only thing I allow myself to be all girly about although knowing it´s wrong

I need 5% of a break from me being all tough and all

The ep... was damn good entertainment. I mean they know how to make it work. I really hated Jack and that´s something new for me because I always was like, it´s Jack I don´t like him that much, make fun of him

but I really hated him. I hated him for the way he treated Hurley. Just visting him to make sure he is staying quiet. That was harsh and given how many Hurley lovers are out there it really didn´t make him look good. Even though Hurley might see his mistake in the FF. It seemed right on teh island. The rain clearly indicated that the seperation of the groups manifested how they´d be rescued and is the reason for upcoming deaths/leaving people behind. Charlie saying they [I assume the one left behind on the island] needed him/help makes me worrying that Sawyer won´t be lying on the beach enjoying a beer

That was kinda the only surprisng thing for me. Which also makes Kate with her not existing concious about the decision they made [I assume something a la deal with the devil] look pretty bad. Of course Jack will see his mistake and be the hero. They just gave him some flaws[Hurley scene & "shooting" Locke if the gun would have been loaded but he didn´t know that when he pulled the trigger ]. Are they expecting the audience to like him more now. Being so dark out of teh blue?...well sorry to say not working! Disturbes me even more and ruins the Jack character and what was left of it even more IMO.
All the other Jack-dictator stuff was pretty old...especially his way with Kate with continues to rub me the wrong way...and Kate staying with him afterwards. Brain to Kate?! Hello, still there

I´m not sure I even want any romantic Skate scene anymore. She just makes me sick.

About TBOTE, I totally agree with you that their badass-Jack attempts are futile, and so odd and annoying. Also, they never seem to gbalance things out, oen day Jack isn't even able to harm the enemy, the other is ready to kill Locke like that, when John put the gun down in the finale and let him do the call.

I still haven't understood the whole O6 thing: when Hurley says to Jack "I'm sorry I followed Locke", it looks like the right wasn't fully on his side, or at least that something happened wrongly on both sides, both Team Locke and Team Jack screwed something up. Because otherwise why would Hurley apologize, just a second before telling Jack that they did a mistake too, leaving? They're making me really anxious and curious about what happened when the O6 left the island.

What I don't understand with Kate is why she wants to leave. I mean, I could understand her siding with Team Jack if she weren't a fugitive who risks to be put in jail for the rest of her life once back on mainland... but she is! So again, I can't relate to her prospective.

Yes, it looks like Desmond stays with Team Jack, because in the promo pics for ep. 3 he's with him, Kate, Huliet, Sayid and the freighter people. But I have no idea whwere he and in and Sun are in ep. 2, no trace of them in the synopsis for Confirmed Dead. I can understand Sayid, they still don't know what's going on and he doesn't want to lose the chance to be rescued, maybe he also thinks that's better if he stay close to the newcomers to study them. He was ready to die to secure rescue in TTLG, as he said to Jack. Desmond puzzles me mostly because they seem to have spent no time in the first two episodes in showing us how he feels about the whole thing. But in those promo pics for ep. 3, he's holding his photo with Penny, the one Naomi had with herk, while discussing with Frank Lapidus, so maybe that link is what motivates him to find out what they know about him and Penelope.

You got it right I guess. Seperating wasn´t completely right because it led to something wrong. Still people who first joint Locke got to leave (ie. Hurley) why others who stood with Jack didn´t get to leave. Only 6 got off. though at this point, if the freighters are the enemy, if they all would have stayed with Jack, what makes Jack think he could have gotten all of the island? Maybe even the evil freighters would have rescued all if they wouldn´t have built a team (Locke) against the freighters. The scene between Naomi and Kate could have been a bit forshadowing. Kate saying we aren´t all like that (Locke) and then Naomi kinda believing her and not telling to truth to her people. So yes, splitting up forced even Saint Jack to do wrong and bad stuff

Hm, but wasn´t he all puzzle dto see Penn yon that screen just before Charlie closed the door... and the warning on hs death bed, or better Penny´s warning should be enough for him to not risk anything. But yeah maybe like Sayid he´d take any chance to reunite with Penny.

Maybe it's another one of Kate's rushed decision. She's only thinking about getting back to mainland, and maybe once that's secured, she'll start thinking about how going back on the run, I have no idea. At the moment she isn't considering the fact at all, which is kind of

No idea. I wish we knew if he's rescued or not, because being him not one of the Losties who crashed with flight 815, he could be on mainland without the authorities knowing. Still, I have the feeling both him and Juliet will stay behind in the end.

Those are Sawyer's boots for sure (and that was the main goal of our "boots study"), either from ep. 3 or 4. Unfortunately, there are no kids in tattered clothes.

So I guess the point of view that we see there, the person who's looking at Sawyer's legs entering the room, is either Kate or Locke's. If the scene is from ep. 3, it may be any other member of Team Locke, Sayid, or Miles, as well.

Yesterday I got the re-cap show along with episode 4x01. But I haven't had the courage to watch it yet

No no, there wasn't any spoiler about Sawyer and those kids in tattered clothes in Otherville, our speculation about a kid being under the bed in that scene came from a totally different route.

This summer, there was a sighting of Josh on set, near a water stream, with the director who had just requested kids in tattered clothes for a scene. We imagined they could be the kids kidnapped by the Others, and Sawyer there sees them wandering around. Then, it came the promo with Sawyer legs, that was so similar to the Outlaws scene with James' father entering his room while James is hidden under the bed. We thought that maybe, later on, he would find one of those kids he spotted near the creek trying to hide in Otherville, and the scene would be a shout out to Outlaws and Sawyer's back story.

Yeah, we kinda created the whole thing from nothing... but it was fun until it lasted!

Well, then her behavior now was just dumb. Made her look dumb. Because it´s only been 90days after the first 30 or so days she wanted a spot on that raft and faked an ID, now she´s all forgotten about it

Now that would be a twist! Having the O6 and some of the others. Still, something tells me Jack would make sure Juliet gets to leave as well, or if not he´d be mre concerned to go back in the 1st place...or I´m simply just thinking too high of the doc.

I have nothing to say really, but I'm reading your posts.

Having seen those few episode 3 promo photos, it seems like everyone will end up being everywhere, which makes me wonder - what was the purpose of dividing the group in the first place, from the writers' POV?

From what I've read, the recap was Jack/Jate love-fest so no point in watching it.
